R1- Best Bet: VRANYO looks to have found her race. Is a 1000m type against a majority who appear to want further. Found herself in an awkward spot first up behind Flying Missile beating home three subsequent winners before leading at a fast speed and sticking on well for third at 1200 last start with Beads in second who has won since. Should fire straight across to the breeze from the wide gate and with the race experience on her side she’ll be hard to get past.

R2- WUHAN WARRIOR would’ve captured the attention of most trial watchers with a recent demolition job. His other 950m trial three months before his debut run was almost as impressive and despite never being competitive on debut, to be beaten only 6.3L in a Supremacy Stakes isn’t terrible. Was fast out in the recent trial and smashed the clock with blinkers on. They go on for race day now and will just be searching for a start come 8am.

R3- CELEBRITY MAN is no friend of punters but will battle to find anything easier than this. Has been placed at all three career runs at odds on quotes but there are winners galore all around him and his runs haven’t been terrible. Team Williams are lethal with the winkers and they go on him for this. Looks better ridden colder and so expect that’s where he’ll end up. No excuses after this.

R4- TAKEMEHOMETONIGHT was heavily backed all throughout betting first up off a solid trial. Was beaten by what looks a smart horse in Pink Carats down the Pinjarra straight and looks better suited here at 1200 around a bend. From the low draw she’ll be right there and may even be able to lead in a race without much speed. Her form from last campaign was pretty good and this doesn’t look over strong.

R5- REAL CHARISMA always looked a next prep horse last time in and her recent trial suggested the same. Had winkers rather than blinkers in that trial and sat right on top of Prince Devoutly and got past him late. Resumes at 1300 and despite not having started at the trip it looks a good starting point this time in. Has some tactical speed to use barrier four and not be too far off the leaders and looks like she can start to progress through the grades this campaign.

R6- PERFECT GEM has been stiff not to finish a little closer at her last two. Got into a bumping duel early in the straight two back and last start ran into a dead end at the 50m mark. Prior to that she won her maiden with authority first up before a narrow third behind Bragwell and Tri For Us. The wide gate looks a positive for her as she should stay out of trouble and looks better ridden colder of a genuine tempo which she should get.

R7- BEAU ZOOM is a frustrating horse to follow. Seems to go better when allowed to lead and roll and yet the stable seem completely opposed to riding him that way. From barrier one in a race with no speed he may finally be ridden that way and most of his form prior to last start is more than good enough to win this. Back into a class three this looks his last chance to be at least going close.

R8- BARONOVA has been a different horse since getting out to a staying trip. Has the same turn of foot at this trip as she did over the shorter trips and that has allowed her to win from next to last on both occasions. Has been forced to weave through the field on both occasions which she may have to do again from one. Seems to love the slop and appreciate genuine tempos which she’ll get here and will just need a bit of luck in running.

R9- TRADEM’ IN is super consistent having never finished further back than fourth in his career. Was running nice enough races in class ones this campaign before being thrown into a 0MWLY race last start and was held up until the race was all over. Flashed in the concluding stages for third and that was a super race on the clock. Looks extremely well placed back against his own age group with 55.5kg after the claim. The wide gate allows him to wind up into the race and the extra 50m should suit.

R10- SAID NO ONE EVER sat over the top of a genuine tempo last week and blew his rivals away regardless. Is unbeaten in the wet including a tough on pace effort three back and will get those conditions again here. Two back in Saturday grade was stuck deep no cover the trip and to only be beaten 5L wasn’t terrible. Should again find himself in the first four in running and only needs to reproduce to go close again.
