Markovina posted this on the Harness site so for those that didn't see it;

Tab Touch piiss me off with their gimmicks
But this win boost - one bet per  day
Race 7 today at Yarra Valley  Harness - i like the no 4 - small e/w
So Tab Touch put up $26 - with the win boost goes to $34 - precisely what Tab.Com are betting
Tab Touch are a joke

Spot on Markovina. Others offer at least 3 boosts a day plus boosts on numerous novelty options and TABtouch normal race odds are usually the worst on offer. Boosts such as $18 to $20 are pathetic.
+1 -1

The biggest joke from TABtouch is not even being able to offer money for 3rd when using the promo, monkey back for 2nd and 3rd is standard yet they only only money back for 2nd

The amount of other promos and offers that are out there you’d think they’d atleast be able to match the same conditions as everyone else

Tabtouch has approx 60k. account holders. ---  plus what they receive in fees from the corporates etc to fund the three codes and rwwa payroll--  -Bet 365 have 14.5 million account holders.

They put bet 365 to shame on 9th july . Master Supreme race 5 Fairview  thought after having one start for new trainer .3200m win after 7 week layoff. then coming back to 2000m 3wks later a leader in 8 horse field.great eachway bet.----opened 5.50 with bet 3.65. took that thinking good price---- then had a look at tabtouch  was  23s. had some of that. finished up. 3.30..

Thats like seeing a Tasmania Tiger

Have to wait another 12 months.

As Richard Burt once said at an annual meeting..."We are not in the business of losing money".
He had a huge disrespect for punters!!

The best thing that happened for this industry was the moving on of Richard Burt. His balls were kept safely in the pocket of whatever minister was in charge.

Just a shame it was about 7 years too late!!!

Rio, both Bennett and Burt should have been kicked out the door and fined over the Rosendorff credit betting scandal. As well reported by Liam Bartlett at the time, McGowan protected both of them.

Absolute disgrace TABtouch. Left Pondus in the fixed market the first race in Melbourne. When it was scratched about half hour before start time . I backed the winner on fixes @ $3.20 and guess what deduction for the scratching of Pondus . Surely that nearly borders on illegal

As at 7pm the first 5 horses listed in the market for R5 @ Ayr are not the horses that will run in the race.

Hmm ....the press release says "at the request of RWWA", the government has recommenced the process. Is that significant?
RWWA requires another Harness Racing Manager, the 8th since it's inception (Racing has had 2, Dogs have had 3)......worrying times ahead if you have a set of harness in the tack room.

Rolling around with massive surplus, why do they want to sell the tab? Hopefully put the billion into something useful :-\"

They wont even get half that. They are also saying the govt will prop up the industry, the buyer of the tab doesn't have to...... that thought makes me shudder. Racing for blue ribbons in 10 years.

i cannot think of one reason they would want to sell it. as V_v says the govt. is rolling in dosh...why in the hell would rwwa request the govt. to restart the sale process?
they should start with an in depth enquiry into bloody rwwa.

    Thanks

There was nothing in the run; regards interference. So bet 365 payout if you weigh in light. Still showing 17 winner  Guy Fox --but not in forecast or tricast divis.

On a slightly different keel Trots at Albany tonight  - STILL NO FIXED ODDS UP on Tabtouch 5 hours till meeting, Sportsbet had up at 8pm last night.

Why would anyone want to bet with a company like TABTOUCH who don't give a flying F**K about their customers

So lofty Strike was scratched from the Blue Diamond  2 hours ago,yet still features as a runner in Tabcorp, and for that matter, Betfair markets.
I always knew that Tabcorp is hopeless, but I did expect better  from Betfair.
  • bookieloverbookielover    2,623 posts
Finally scratched from Tabcorp and Betfair after almost 3 hours. Anyone who had an early bet, I didn't but 8600 was traded on the fair, and they cop an 11.1% deduction.

On the rumour file this morning. Sale of the tab is close to being done at a price of 1 billion. The stipulation being the buyer has no funding obligations to the industry going forward. That will fall into the hands of RWWA. This could be frought with danger could not imagine McGowan keeping that cash cow tithe 3 codes alone only a rumour

Not sure if you can blame Tabtouch or not, but so far the races that have been run at Greyville tonight ,have not been run over the distances advertised on the Tabtouch betting page.
    R1 adv.-1000,raced over 1200, R2 adv-1199,raced over 1600, R3 adv-1600,raced over 1800
R4 adv-1699, raced over1800, R5 adv 1900,raced over 1200 and R6 which is about to jump is advertised at 2000m and are jumping from the 1200m,
    Goodluck,
