14 starts to play finals as willy_jones locks up minor premiership

The minor premiership is all but over as willy_jones did what he's known to do and that was secure his 11th win in 27 starts. It was a tradesman win with many of the top 8 failing to fire on a day that didn't favour form tipsters.

Former competition winner Brunswick_cow locked up his 7th win in the second event and he looks in prime form to do some damage next week.

Jeanne, Chris, MobileLink & razor (who dead heated) secured important wins to lock in finals appearances in the top 64. The Diva now leads the "outsiders" sitting 65th outside of the finals contenders, however with the minimum starts requirement will still likely get a start, and with only one midweek meeting left the question is who will be playing in the first week of finals. A minimum of 14 starts will be needed to play finals with the ladder condensed to remove those not meeting the stat on Thursday.

The bottom 32 contenders will play off next Saturday in a sudden death qualifier, whilst the top 32 sits out automatically through to the second week of finals.
