Gatting set for Pinjarra/Piper assault

Perth Turf Talk | Metropolitan Racing | Thu 9 February, 2017

One of the luckless stories of 2017, Impressive Racing's Gatting, will start his assault on the WA Derby & Lex Piper stakes this Saturday at Pinjarra.

After finishing runner-up at his past two with William Pike on board, he now secures the services of Mattheiu Autier for his road to the 2400m Derby.

With over $91,000 in the bank to date and a record of 7:3-2-1 the best appears still to come for the Hard Spun gelding.

The horse is named Cranky - very hard to handle. As I alluded to earlier - 40 degrees and a jockey that didn't know him spelled T Rubble. Pulled his head off the whole way round. If you don't settle - going nowhere. No offence to G.Smith. A jockey that...
