jayandbron seizes top spot in Raceday

The tipster that achieved the perfect 8 from 8 this season has rightly taken top spot after doing enough to finish third on Saturday.

The once unbeaten Rednblack has been underwhelming at his past two and failed to work into the race, scoring just $3.20 from his outlay and finishing equal last with Rodent.

The third placing for jayandbron was enough to propel him to the top of the ladder ahead of Hodgey007 - the winner of the main race this week. Rednblack clings on to third.

Pratty was polished in the second event scoring in 6 races and finding Bombs Away. Purdue also made it count with the two long price winenrs of the day pushing him past the $40 mark and into the top 16.

rustyh turned a last start donut into a slashing victory, albeit finding just the one winner in Foxy Lad. Race 9 boasted two runners who failed to score - a Raceday first.

Deep into January it's critical for competitors to cement their spot into the top 64, top 32 and top 16 - with the later leading to an instant birth in the playoffs.

Finals will be played over the Autumn carnival.
