Karrakatta Plate Market Due to be Released
Release of the first market for the Karrakatta Plate to be run April 1st, is due in the coming days.
Our early mail indicates the outright favourite will be Simon Miller's Seannie at $7 just ahead of the undefeated Keeper Keen (Ben Pearce) at $9. Keeper Keen returned to racing this week with an impressive trial win at Pinjarra, coming from last.
Sebring filly, Seannie also appeared at trials on Monday with a win in fast time over Little Hercules and is also undefeated in just one run.
Debellatio ($10), Achernar Star ($10) and Very Angry Gal ($12) round out the horses at the top of the market. Debellatio certainly showed he had a fair bit of upside with his dominant win at today's Ascot meeting over 1200m.
Unraced horses that are kept safe in the market include Fine Scent, a $210k yearling purchase from Simon MIller's yard ($15) and Queen Boudica, another high priced yearling from the Parnham yard at $18.
Other unknowns at this stage are Written Law (Gangemi Racing), Disruptive (Lindsey Smith) and Galveston Bay (Trevor Andrews).
