Pike to continue the ride on Express Service

Coolgardie Cup winner Express Service will not contest the Boulder Cup or challenge for the $100,000 Triple Crown bonus during the Kalgoorlie race round, instead opting for the Hannans Handicap over 1400m in over a fortnight.

William Pike has been confirmed for the ride and will be shooting for three straight on the Danehill Express gelding.

Fighting qualities in both his past two wins have characterised the Impressive Racing runner and he may need it all depending on the field and the handicapper. Express Service was able to lump 61kg in a war horse like peformance at Kalgoorlie last year over 1200m.
