smiddy197 gets a Raceday finals lifeline
After the Saturday program was rained out there were always going to be casualties with a Wednesday card. So much so that neither competitor in Race 11 submitted their tips for the finals.
This has given smiddy197 the chance to progress to the next round being the highest scoring loser from yesterday.
The 82nd placed RIO was again the star of the finals yesterday netting an incredible $50 total and knocking out the trevydards who finished 23rd.
The question is whether RIO can keep going as he fronts up against the minor premiership winner, willy_jones.
The Top 16 now come into play for Saturday with those who won in a slog of a card needing a quick back up.
The pool of 64 has now halved and 32 will be 16 at the end of Race 8 at Ascot, Saturday.
rustyh (72nd) takes on the second ranked H-BOMBER in a must win. Wizard who has also been bold in the finals faced Bfacey77 (3rd) to remain in contention.
TSS, discostewz and TimO are all fellow rank outsiders placed 60th or above on the ladder.
Saturday will prove whether class does rise to the top.

As I am against Bfacey77 I suppose I will have to go into 3 gear saving my top gear for the final.
