Stewards Inquiry - Trainer Mrs Kellie Grantham - DISCO METAL

Matt Rigby | Metropolitan Racing | Fri 10 February, 2017

RWWA Stewards have been advised by the ChemCentre in Perth, that arsenic in excess of the threshold of 0.3 mg/L in urine has been detected in DISCO METAL after it won Race 1 at Ascot on 3 December 2016.

This finding has now been verified by the Racing Analytical Services Limited Laboratory (RASL) in Victoria.

Accordingly the Stewards will inquire into these reports on a date to be determined once all investigations are completed.

very few CCA treated poles used anymore. They are all heat treated now..So they had better be careful in relation to how old the poles are and how much arsenic retention is in the poles....I'd hope if any one is proven wrong the penalty would be 10 fold
