The midweek currency is Megg's news

The midweek currency is Megg's

Perth Turf Talk | Metropolitan Racing | Wed 4 June, 2014

A huge $40 tote result landed by two punters through Megg's currency saw the wins of Gilgamesh and Granty from unlikely positions. Both are now in finals contention.

It highlighted the luck of the roughie in the game of Raceday, however the other two events went untroubled by the blow out with sonny securing his 7th win and moving right into finals contention claiming 6th position. Bfacey77 finished 3rd and maintained his 4th position, however the Group 1 winner is desperate for a win.

H-BOMBER and Jordan floundered after recent good runs and both find them worse off for their midweek nomination.

Debut winner Godd claimed his second victory in 4 starts with after coming "stone motherless" last in his previous two. The 50% win strikerate was enough to rocket him back into the top 32, an enviable position given their week off in finals.

Raceday will resume Saturday.

But if we are talking handicapping, the best horses draw the worse, why would you want to give them an advantage?

Put an angled gate on the mobile barrier. Give the outside draws a better chance, rather than no chance.
