Three new Group winners mark Raceday's Super Saturday
There is a new Raceday leader and he goes by the name of Mothballs. The reign of Blacks A Fake on top came to an end in the Group 1 Raceday Railway Stakes with Mothballs narrowly going down to CPL in the Group 1, however the unplaced effort of BAF, moorey16 and Vandieman meant the runner-up was now number one overall.
The gutsy win of CPL was not the best effort of the day, however he proved himself in the class after being labelled as fortunate to be there following the tip of a roughie earlier in the competition.
jayandbron also just did enough to win the Group 2 Raceday Winterbottom Stakes and break into the top 10 collecting the Group 2 prizemoney on offer, thanks to PUNTA.
babehound's Group 3 effort was the best of the lot in the Stakes races with $34 and a much needed second win. babehound lacks consistency but wins big when it counts.
Former Group 3 winner Superblues also bounced back with a $31 performance, along with Shortener, biggy, Dale, thedoc, luap, naw and Voodoo all polling in the 30s and Ruleventripotence taking the crown with $43 featuring 5 winners.

I entered the comp with the intention to pick the best outsiders not get the most wins theory. So time will see. There is an art to picking outsiders though. Pike/Peters have been owning WA racing this season so there's a real skill in picking the eyes out ...
