Top 64 finalists decided

The sun has set on 155 competitors in Perth's tipping championship, Raceday.

After spanning nearly 5 months the best have been sorted from the rest with Blacks A Fake securing the minor premiership. Blacks A Fake only gave up the lead at one stage during the journey and was the superior tipster of the competition, despite biggsy flashing home to win the top rated race last Saturday and finish second overall.

The Group winners throughout the season showed it's no easy game with up-and-down performances, however ultimately most of them landed in the top 16 providing them with a critical double chance.

Two maidens qualified the top 64 against the odds, Chris and Nator007, both finishing last in the final race before the finals. They're lack of ability to find the line won't provide backers with much hope.

The unlucky Brunswick_cow, a former competition winner, is the unlucky 65th ranked participant.  He deadheated with LuckyLongShots for that spot with another ex-semi finalists MiFitz landing in 67th.

Indy stole the underperformance of the season with 10 starts for zip, finishing 174th overall, and it appears a career as a racehorse might require a rethink.

For now, the feet go up for a lot of the competition as the bottom 32 prepare to battle in two races on Perth Cup day with the top 8 from each qualifying to face the 17th - 32nd in a one vs one battle.

The winner of each one on one will move through to face our top 16.
