Interesting little 72+ 1200m to get us under way with Group winner Lite'n' in my Veins returning to the track after a winter break. Aimed at bigger and better things than this first-up sprint but the trial on Monday suggested he has come back in terrific order. Should get a lovely run throughout behind It's It the likely leader and from there will be hard to beat. It's It can either lead or hand-up to New Time and get another economical tow into the race as he did last start when chasing down Furious Dame. He will probably be a length or two clear of Lite'n' In My Veins at the top of the straight and be hard to catch. Max Almighty is the other of the winning chances and with Jordy Turner back into the saddle meets It's It 3kg better at the weights and at $5 in a 6 horse field that's the way I'll be tipping. Lite'n' In My Veins and It's It are both on the shorter side but will be in the finish.

That winner showed some speed. Thinking Jefferson will more than pay his way, especially if they get the right jock on.
