Harvey is King

Paul Harvey is in scintillating form at the minute fresh off a midweek Treble The Pontiff rides Cool De Lago for the Michael Lane stable. The 4 year old grey mare comes to the races off the back of two soft trials where untested and draws perfectly in barrier 2. With a soft run Harvey can settle her perfectly behind the leaders and give her every possible chance to win on debut. Royal Relation comes from the same trial as Cool De Lago and was arguably a lot more impressive when caught three wide throughout and fighting on to finish second beaten a neck. Prior form has been sound and at $26 eachway is one to include in quaddies. Shrewd Gamble is better than his first-up run and drawn a beautiful gate with Jarrad Noske is another who appeals on an eachway basis. Finished in the money at 3 of his 5 career starts and can improve sharply on a firm track. Favourite King Louie ran home strongly from a long way back at his debut for Team Morton, however, I thought the effort was far from eye catching and at $3 he looks artificially short due to the Pike factor. Dagorlad is one at huge odds who could bob up into the minor end of placings.

That winner showed some speed. Thinking Jefferson will more than pay his way, especially if they get the right jock on.
