Belmont R2. Crown Perth Handicap - 1 January 1970
|
Larkhill trainers for mine.
Quokka looks the one to beat here in the second race of the day. Placed in three starts the chestnut filly strode forward last start over 1200 from a wide barrier but could not go on with classy Magnifisio. With Mitchell Pateman again on board and a drop of 200 metres this filly by Hurricane Sky can put connections back into the winners circle. Illusion Light returns after a lengthy spell with its first run on the Belmont track. Layed outwards at last start in December costing her the race but trust these inconsistencies have been resolved and see a very strong showing here. Throwing Dawn's Flyer in as the recent run on 19/6 from a wide barrier was very promising. This run was her first back from a spell and came from near last on the turn and is obvious she would only improve from that run. With Azzopardi on board the weight advantage could assist in knocking off the top two. My monies with Quokka but if it starts in Saturday company, take Dawn's Flyer each way.

Just explaining. Under the preview tab, Chris uses the tipster's suggested bet and stake to get a running total. Matt Raison (not me), had $390 worth of bets for a $756 return, or $366 profit.http://www.perthturftalk.com.au/preview/r8-westspeed-nomination...

3rd against 2nd. It was a rough old race up the straight, Fav got polaxed, Ponty should only get a warning :) Huh? In race 7? I doubt it considering 2nd horse should have won if it got out earlier....and was going away from the 3rd horse on the line! Ste...

even if it lost 3/4 of a length it only got beat 1/4. I understand it as they decided not to protest as they knew they wouldn't get it because of lack of knowledge by Stewards ), also the fact the outside horse hung in a fractionIf that is the case J Noske won...
