If ever a price of 10/1-on was justified, it was right then...

And to think the next fastest dog in WA comes from the same kennel - the young bloke sure knows how to train!

Well Done Paul, let me know if you have one of these pups hanging around out back whenever you feel the need!

You could get 1.21 on Betfair too. I just didn't have enough to put on to make it worthwhile

Just spoke to Keith Harding, the trainer of past great Afro Freeway, and he believes Miata is a faster dog than Afro.

Trainer Paul Stuart also thinks Miata can go quicker.

Also let the public know that it was better the pedrosa before its first start.
    Top bloke.

I understand that Greyhounds WA will donate to the Centre for Cerebral Palsy an amount of $500 for each length Miata wins by at her next start.

This is likely to be at Cannington next Wednesday night.

This follows a $10,000 donation from last night's win and record breaking run.

Charity to cheer for Miata again next Wednesday

    Dennis O'Brien posted on August 15, 2011 16:34
Fresh from back to back track record runs Miata will again be out to earn some cash for The Centre for Cerebral Palsy when she contests Race 5 (7.44pm) this Wednesday August 17.

Last Wednesday , Greyhounds WA offered $5000 if Miata won Race 7 and a further $5000 if she bettered her own 29.86sec track record in the process.

History now shows she won by 11.5 lengths in 29.84secs and a cheque for $10,000 is now on the way to the charity to assist those with cerebral palsy.

Greyhounds WA has decided to butter up and go again with a new challenge for the Paul Stuart-trained youngster.

If Miata can win Race 5 this Wednesday , Greyhounds WA will donate to The Centre- $500 per length of her winning margin.

    For example:
Last week's margin winning margin 11.5lengths would earn $5,750.
A margin of 1/2 length will earn $250 and if she wins by more than 20 lengths our CEO David Simonette will be very nervous!

This is Miata's first start up against City class chasers and box 6 will make things a little more difficult but she has passed every test so far with flying colours.

It should be another exciting race so don't miss it next Wednesday.

Competition for all - how much will she win by tonight?

For me I'll go with 11 lengths, anyone else?

It's greyhounds like this that make for some very exciting racing! Has certainly come up against one of the worst fields (on times), so hard to see her not winning by 10+ lengths. The start from No.7 will determine if she can break her own record.

    Simply amazing greyhound.

The Centre for Cerebral Palsy has picked up $19,000 in donations from Greyhounds WA in the last seven days from incentives.

So far $5,000 for last week win, $5,000 for the track record, and tonight $500 for each of her 18 length winning margin.

What do you think would be a good idea for the next incentive?

Fantastic effort - by both Miata and GreyhoundsWA for jumping onboard and raising money for charity with this girl early on!

Three track records in three runs - not sure this has ever been done in any code in Australia.

Her profile, which includes all her race replays:
