Clearly there are a lot of people talking through their pocket on the daily thread regarding the protest. Suggest you make your case here either way and back it up with some facts.

I am mystified how that was upheld, and I had no interest in the race, then as they about to race in the Winterbottom Stakes they do the presentation of the Railway Stakes. Horses spent 15 minutes behind barriers waiting for presentation to finish Why were they sent to the barrier ?
RWWA has a little to learn.

I will never ever bet in Perth again!

Difficult to see from the sky vision, Waratahs was SEVERELY checked and LUCKYGRAY slightly checked, whether it cost them the race i don't know.

What i do know is it was worse than what Williams got rubbed out for prior to the Cup.

booing at the presentation says it all. Glad Black Caviar didn't go there. That's amateur hour

no way that could logically be upheld, even if there was doubt.
but it's wa so you have to expect these sorts of things.
    absolutely ridiculous.

and how can one back it up with fact??
    fact of what?

Yes but Williams got time for his actions and as such if found to be at fault so should MacAvoy.

What happened today is that MacAvoy got done for apparently starting a chain reaction, at the 600m, that may or may not have cost a horse travelling at least four lengths behind him the race.

No bet in the race for me, but that will go down as the worst decision in Australian racing.

for starters lucky gray never got past it after the line, not immediately, not a couple of strides after, not even 50m after so He's remarkable right on the line was clearly holding it otherwise luckygrays momentum would have carried past he's remarkable. He's remarkable is a bull, it got clear and it wasn't until the other horse got right alongside that it lifted again and it clearly did, so there is no way known the stewards can possibly guarantee that it would have got past the original winner.

It's La Trice all over again and that's what happens when you have people in cahrge of racing in this state who are more interested in maintaining their monstrous ego's than running a remotely professional operation.

Well done boys you've embarassed Perth yet again on the national and international stage.

Incompetent isnt a descriptive enough word for these imbeciles, and then to top it all off they hold up the running of a Group 1 for ten minutes to do the railway presentation when the horses are already behind the barriers, what planet are these guys on, again no surprise when the chairman runs the turf club as his own personal fiefdom.

It's a forum, there are do definitive facts.

The only people talking through their pockets would be the ones who backed the grey, surely they must be the only ones who thought that was a good decision.

didnt bet on the race so not biased in any way. Was watching it live on TVN where the presenter through his tone was sort of indicating he didnt think it would be upheld. Also he mentioned that Marco Chau was called in to give evidence???? The bloke was shocked when he heard the protest was upheald and said on numerous times "im speachless". No doubt im glad the money was kept local but i have no idea how this could be upheld. No wonder they call this place the wild west, fucking cowboys everywhere!

Spot on. I can understand if the margin was a nose, a head. But the runner up never headed him, never past him and, if anything was dying on his run to the line.

Perth Racing, The laughing stock of Australian Racing.

    i'll agree with that.
but i have had prior experience with the head steward, with regards a horse called soleil fille way back in march 2005 when they let it jump when it's back gate was not closed shut, and it severely missed the kick because it was leaning into it when jump was effected.

his email reply to me justifying what happened was absurd, so he will forever have no cred in my view.

Deary me how's the intelligence of some people on here.

When debating you need to provide facts to support your argument. Serious question, did anyone here saying you don't need to produce facts finish high school?

    Facts puppet.

Horse travelling on rails (eventual winner) moves off at 600m and checks horse outside.

Horse on outside comes back into lap of another horse who checks another horse (sometimes referred to as a chain reaction) who drops back and checks several horses, one of which runs on terrific to get second.

Fact, at time of interference second horse was travelling four lengths behind eventual winner.

    Fact, shocking result.

    Fact, your a puppet.

"Well DT what is your reasoning for the protest"
"I think I should have won sir"
    "Protest upheld then"

That about how it should go?

In that case you would have someone ie; the person you are protesting against to argue your point against.

You would be a walkup start to become a steward at this rate.

it's was a million dollar race, so they're obviously going to try it on.
but you are yet to explain how anybody can provide fact.
it's absurd to even ask that.
what has your scenario got to do with fact?
nothing, and nor could it, so how can anybody else?

How's it a stupid comment. They are now the laughing stock of the country. Are blindfolds mandatory now for WA Stewards. Maybe they should priority pick Terry Bailey in the AFL National Draft.

For someone who comes across as an intelligent person you say some unusual things at times. If you (or anyone here) thinks you can turn up to a debate (what this thread is) without facts to support your case, i can only hope you are winning enough on the horses to get by, because i'd have grave concerns at you being able to get by any other way.
