Jason Miller and Adam Durant dead heat....second place is a long way back and struggling.

I only wrote on the rare occasion to Mr Zucal but found him quick and clear in his responses. I did not even receive an acknowledgement of my emails after his departure. ( I do think one can clearly mark the massive change in Saturday racing pretty …

I will also send the stewards a long email today although I have had no reply to anything since the departure of Mr Zucal. It may well be my last salvo on that front though as the message just seems to be not getting through. I am not a negative nar…

I am not a times guru but for two senior jockeys something is just not right about this. They went out alot faster for the first 400 than BARAKEY and it was a 1500 metre race....perth racing on Saturdays is all about pace manipulation....

Jockeys Lucas Camilleri and Shaun McGruddy have been cleared of any wrongdoing at a stewards' inquiry into their tactics from race seven at Ascot on Saturday.Stewards accepted explanations from both riders that they were instructed to lead on B…

True Gold a stand out in the cup.S.O'Donnell on it for the 1st time who has a knack on winning for trainers that become a little desperate! what does that say rio That true Gold is a stand out in the cup.......full stop....end of statement.....S.…

1 and 3 will get the better of 11, but I'll be working the 10 into the first 4...Just got a tip for the 3..read into it what you like was recently gelded, so maybe. same as r1 winner too. most important gear change of the lot according to the stat…

The ride on Gladstone reminded me of why Saturdays are a no go zone. Destroyed its own chance and that of another in the market and set it up for the backmarkers. Anyone who knew of McGruddy's intention had a licence to print money. Cue the lame qu…

Agree Diva - soft target...some stinking rides by Pike and Chris Parnham of late as well. Its just a part of the game and for sure I am not immune to a post race blow up ---but just attacking the girls all the time is boring. FWIW I dont rate Jerry …

Careyleaks...

I'm over Ascot already. It seems there is always interference/horses blocked for runs. It's a #### of a joint. Agree -- reckon it always takes the jockeys about 7 weeks to work out that they are back at Ascot. Pikey even takes a little longer than t…

I love the crap jocks, in fact they are the best thing about WA racing from a punting point of view. What are harder to take are the crap rides from decent jocks. - btw imho Damien slaughtered that one in the cup and no amount of homestate loving c…

Very true BL but to be fair, quite a number of the 51 have passed away. But could bolster the list by naming Sam Nicolaides, Kim Hunter, the Mallis family, Merv Cash, Roy Willison, etc that I don't think cracked a mention in the postings. http://w…

I love it that LAME has posted this link.

Thumpers questions are the most important in my own biased opinion. When I read the press release I started to ponder what I would ask and have a very similar line as Thumpers. RWWA needs to come absolutely clean on where it stands in regards to cor…

Not exactly a Perth bookie but Bob Green was an unforgettable old bookie down south in the 80s and 90s. Scruffy and rough but loved to yell the odds and always always laid the favourite. He jammed the cash in the bag and it was a complete mess...if …

so the instructions to a young apprentice ....from barrier 1.... were---- go back to the tail of the big field and then take off wide in the middle stages ----WOW!

WA racing lost out badly when Mr Zucal left and our stewarding has not recovered. He is badly missed and our current crop need some strong leadership ( and it would also help in this day and age to be more media savvy and open )

Condescending....4 to 1 out to 12 to 1 on cheatfair and tailed off, beaten at the 600 metres. Actually was beaten when cheatfair got out to 10s.... Nice run the winner who looks a promising type who will improve.

THE WIDDER....yet another big winner for BAR SHOES ON... the only place in the world...

Just a quick update with horses running with bar plates ON between 17/8 - 30/9 at Belmont-Kalgoorlie-Northam only! 46 starters- 2 (wins) - 2 (2nds) - 1 (3rd). Horses running with bar plates OFF for the first time! 8 starters - 2 (wins) - 1 (2nd) - 2…

Why did Alex have to view the video before protesting ? He obviously had doubts ? Did not bet on the race just my own views ! TOP COMMENT BRADY. Its a dead give away and really a stupid call in my opinion. You do not see Criag Williams ask to see th…

rio, it is almost impossible to change a govt. instrumentality...."mentality" being the operative word. The basic fundamental change has to be that the administrators of racing MUST MUST MUST understand gambling. They cannot hire anyone without a d…

Really positive posts and I agree completely with both BOOKIELOVER and RIO but I do have one criticism of the perth bookies that I feel has accelerated their demise. They just spent 10 years or more especially at the country tracks trying to bet pun…

What a fantastic day it was at TOODYAY. The track was good, there were six bookies on course(two at Belmont the day before), good entertainment between races and after the last, and an ideal venue for the third or fourth tier horses to get a run and…

I see where Jonesee mentioned York as a track where there should be more racing. I haven't been to York, but in preparation for our visit to Perth next year, I noted that there was to be a meeting at York on a Friday. So we were looking forward not…

Shambles and just really really poor service...undefendable really but would love to hear them bullshit bluster their way out of it...Well yes we can bet fixed odds on Devonport maidens but no way will we BET LOCAL...

Can Racing get any weaker than this ? Wish they had more racing like this...one reason racing is dying is that there is just so much meaningless boring crap served up. No different tracks, places and types of races. Places like Toodyay, Beverley and…

Its a very very bad decision. Another very very bad decision!! How stupid does it get when the WA racing authority desperately try to ruin a genuine WA bookie trying to have a go at competing with the pommie corporate slugs and cheatfair. Fair dinku…
