Have seen some great horses in my time but for sheer excitement Mount Eden was unsurpassable.

Pure Steel - best stayer.
Preux Chevalier - tough with brilliance
Jack Morris - similar
Village Kid - a foolproof machine
San Simeon - similar

Mount Eden's run in the Miracle Mile nothing will ever come close to that win. It was a once in a lifetime freak of a horse.

Me being a young fella didn't get to see any of those Legends but these few have been my favourite to watch in recent times

Christian Cullen - Amazing is the only word to sum him up
Elsu - Run in the hunter cup was one of the best runs I may ever see
The Falcon Strike - Amazingly tough and a heart as big as himself
Im Themightyquinn - The Most electrifying horse in Australasia today
Blacks A Fake - 4 interdominions need I say more

Courage under fire would have to be one of my favourite. Only pint sized but was an outstanding juvinile.
From memory he one about his first 20 starts, including all the major derbies. His first defeat came in the heat of the inters.
