Notice that 3 of the top ten first seaon sires are by Red Ransom. Why would that be breeding gurus? Something to follow up?

Also Universal is up to 12! Out of a long list not bad going.

we've been breeding to speed too much and people are realising, the geography is changing look at the amount of middle distance/stayers retired to stud this season .
But probably the main reason is he crosses well with danehill with the likes of
    Habibi
    Headway
    Red Dazzler
    Smart Missile
    Red Ruler
    Chance Bye
    Romneya
    Ransom Express

Just because a stallion is by Red Ransom doesn't mean a whole lot unless he also has a strong dam line. The strength in his breeding will vary greatly as it matches up to your mare. Recently I looked at two for a forum member by Red Ransom. One result was red hot, the other lukewarm.

    This applies to all Stallions.

Well if you look at 3 sons of Red Ransom in the top ten to  me stands out like a flashing light. In the past it would have been dominated by Danehill. Perhaps it says they like Australian conditions, for one reason.
