"  To accommodate the majority of pubs and clubs TVN have received assistance
from Foxtel/FOX SPORTS who are supporting the racing industry and will
be providing them with TVN to FOX SPORTS commercial venues at no
additional charge during this interim period. "

    Keyword = interim.

What happens afterwards - no NSW and Vic Racing in pubs and clubs?
    :O

I hope the interim period means they still hope for an agreement at some time between TVN and Sky

see how much revenue drops with no live coverage!!!! I always thought the value of a product is what the buyer was prepared to pay for it, not what the seller was wanting to get for it!!!!!

If i was sky i'd stop broadcasting immediately....maybe then we can get WA racing on SKY1 all the time
    :D

    Doesn`t help  much Rio.

75% of RWWA`s income comes from racing outside of WA.

Although I'm on the Platinum level with Foxtel, I refused to pay the $5.00 extra for Sky 2 and channel 522 on principle. I reckon paying $160.00 per month for the privilege of watching more commercials in some of their shows than you get on free to air T.V. was more than enough.

Also, I reckon that Tabcorp who own Sky, are big enough not to have to squeeze the punters out of $5.00.

So, I'm very happy that TVN, which is owned by the race clubs in Victoria and NSW, have finally said, $30 million a year isn't enough, we want $40 million.

A result of this move by TVN, is that Sky 2 will virtually become redundant, as those in charge at Sky struggle to fill the void on their main racing channel, left by the loss of all Victorian and NSW racing.

Perth racing will finally find its home on Sky 1 and we shouldn't have the ridiculous situation anymore where Ascot/Belmont is bumped to Sky 2.

And you never know, Barney Rubble and the other buffoons spreading the cr@p to unsuspecting punters who tumble in to the bulldust spread by these imbeciles, that this horse or that horse has been heavily backed, may have to go and seek employment in the real world.

Who will ever forget Barney breathlessly screaming at the camera that a punter had put $70,000 on a horse in a class 1 at Newcastle, when a bloke I know couldn't put $100 on a 7/2 chance at the greyhounds.

they must be going well to knock back $30 mill - will be interesting to see how 1 channel handles all Vic and NSW races - there is 7 meetings on Saturday.

I suppose that means the end of pre and post race interviews on TVN ( wont have time)

Is it possible to set up picture in picture on Foxtel or split screen? I can do it with the normal channels

I reckon you would need two receivers to do that mate.
