Race 8 As a neutral observer allow me to ask.... How many of those reinsmen showed any enthusiasm in that race?

Two at least .....the two who were disputing a position at the 500m and caused a punctured tyre ending the chances of the horse in front of them that was minding its own business .....  :-S

There was another...far more tragic but ultimately uplifting course of events evidenced at Northam tonight. Much loved and respected Meckering couple Garry and Jan Elliott showed immense courage to start their horses at the meeting...despite having lost their son and integral member of the stable Clayton (Boof) Elliott earlier in the week..... in circumstances that will always remain an inexplicable source of despair and sorrow to those family and friends who knew and loved him.

It was heartwarming to see the members of the harness fraternity who quietly put their arms around the so obviously stunned and grief stricken family in support.
