It’s quiet but it’ll never go anywhere. Over 10k members. One day I’ll fire it up again and bring them all back.

Nothing like a scandal to fire up the forum

Too many one line "reactors" and trolls who contribute nothing but one line responses, at least on Harness threads. I pop in for a read every now and then but have pretty much given up posting after making what I think have been very substantial contributions for well over a decade. Since I deliberately pulled back a month or so ago as a bit of an experiment, the trolls and pie chuckers have put up nothing of any consequence. They can have it to themselves.

Yeah no previews or anything since 2017?

We had a good punters club and everything.

Anyway I just thought it was strange how dead it has become.

The only way that has happened in the past and only for one off visits from some members I didn't recognise is when you run a tipping competition with a financial reward.

There are more distractions these days with social posts. I am not on Instaglam, Off Your Facebook, WhatsCrap, Tick Tac Dough,  seX or any of those. I am loyal to this forum.  8-|

    Politics is what happened.

It would probably have died anyway, as racing is going the way of the dodo because there is no new punters, to replace the old ones that have tossed it in(either life or gambling).

The only places online where I have a presence(apart from infrequent visits here), have nothing to do with racing.

Yeah the good ol days were something to look forward to!
The Punters Club was great as you got to argue and have a stoush with Falcon and Bookielover about 'multis'.
    :)) :)) :-c
Could we fire up a Punters Club again??

Even the tipping comp, something happened with being able to post from a phone so when the company I was working for banned PTT I gave up

Poor Darren still getting a bashing..... Good times, gee I was at work one weekend and I had a massive bet on one of my horses each way, might have been Ningaloo Blitz, and he called her damn near last and I almost set fire to my car and when the results popped up she had run a place.

That Carey died a long time ago.
I got tired of checking (and finding)  endless data errors, so tossed WA in.

I don't post all that much. But I do read the forum most days.

Anyway, here is a post from me.
Lewis German got 10 years, how long do you think Michael Poy will get?
My opinion, should get double what German got.
  • ManchildManchild    790 posts
Poy will be banned for life IMO

    The Germ got off lightly

Personally I have been out of the loop contributing as I have been on the road for the last nine weeks around Southern Australia, but have now arrived in Launceston where I will be living going forward. I don't really feel empowered to talk about WA Racing anymore as I haven't been to a track for a long time and have now been Interstate for almost three years.

I get a lot of message traffic and tips from some sources that like to get things out into the open shall we say but other than that I just read results and follow the Trainers tables each Saturday in the Bloodstock News to follow the fortunes of several known to me.

I don't bet but I do watch a lot of Trials, especially of the two year olds as I like to track sales stock as they progress.

Locally I think Tasmania is dead in the water for stakes money and yearling sales and race meetings that at best would only rival Pinjarra.

don't think there was much trolling going on, I think it got to the point that only a few people were able to have an opinion without others getting there nose out of joint and getting rather personal with their comments

    13,5 years for Poy

    There should be criminal charges.

PP makes the point that in Victoria the crimes act of 1958 prohibits activity which may constitute match fixing and that includes engaging in conduct that corrupts or would corrupt a betting outcome.

In my opinion the trio should be jailed and for quite a few years
