What's the story with Master Of Design guys? Top WA debut back in October. Perhaps already covered in an older thread & I've missed it. Thanks.

Stable is having a very quiet season, seems to have a lot of well bred fillies for Distinct Racing, not many fast ones

Durrant's strike rate has dropped dramatically in recent times. Used to have numerous horses winning a string of races.

It was always going to take a period to move on from the Peters influence but he has some nice ones coming through now. BTW Larsson has decided not to train for that owner now.

i see that Darrah i think the Prices have picked up a few i dont think Haggerty has any either or Barrass did Brent make that decision or was it RJP ???
Its has to come a time when Peters will have gone through every trainer in the state.
    J Taylor
    L Smith
    T Andrews
    I Haggerty
    Barrass
    Larson
    Durrant
    Williams
    Prices
    Harper
    ??? any others
He doesnt like them trained at Ascot does he

But all in all he is the biggest owner/breeder over in the West as he pays the bills he can do what he likes when he likes i wonder with the decrease in stakes he might send his better ones ,Ranger,Tranquility, ect ect over East now

Is there a common thread as to why these Owner/Trainer relationships have not continued or are the reasons varied?

Graeme Ballantyne is another current trainer of Peters horses.
Interestingly Top Gun trialled in Sydney the other day I dont who is training it currently but can't be far off racing again if it's at trial stage.

You are also forgetting about the G.Harper and C.Willis days, and also that little South African bloke, can't rememer his name though. Anyone with any sense wouldn't touch the bloke, but if you want to make a quick name for yourself as a trainer, give him a call and tell him you will train his horses for $50 bucks a days with no extras and their yours, hence G.Williams.

Cmon Snipe your just dirty he has got all your mate JTs horses and they are winning ,$50 pday ??? i dont think so

I dont give a rats, just don't like a person who doesn't have any morals. Knowone trained more winers for him than Lindsay Smith and he spat him out like a piece of gum, my gosh an Australian Cup ! the best training feat i have seen by a WA trainer.

i remember that race[Aust Cup] Snipe Ponty sneaked up on the Tiger [Northerley] and pinched it brilliant ride and agree Lindsay could train but can sometimes be left of centre and Bob wouldnt stick that as Lindsay never answers the phone was always going to end in tears

All(or most at least) of the horses from the adams (crystal lily, solar charged, RFE etc) will be going to the rubiton. So itll be a crack race and a tough starting point.

Thats a strong line up there Vorg barriers to play a major part
  • keeping in mind they're all behind schedule not having that run yesterday, including and especially star witness' guineas prep, i wonder how much of a toll it would take on their preps
