After a 3rd in G1 Aust Cup, I say 8 out of 10 they ran 2.00.95 for the 2000m

    In my opinion it was a pass. He ran on well and looked at one stage of winning the race.

    A good experience for him to head east as a 3 yr-old. Let's hope he makes trips to the east more often. He is talented.

    Had he been ridden better he would of won the Australian Guineas. I think connections should be happy with what has happened so far.

    He was very good in the australia cup. Definitely a pass.

    If connections were asked if they would be happy with 2 group one placings, i think tehy would say yes.

    He went lengths better than I thought he would, way he quickened in that grade was impressive

    I didn't think hed get 2400 prior, on today I'll revise that he'd get the 2400 of a WA Derby no qualms. Hopefully he goes to Sydney, I took the $12s Tenby :wink:

    I think they should really look after this bloke. He has got a great record now with G1 win in WA and placings in eastern states G1's.

    I'd be inclined to putting him away immediately and looking at a return to Melbourne for the spring.

    run nexy week at the valley 3yo race as long as he pulled up well then on the plane to derby , good spell and crack at melb spring.

    Great effort should have won more cash whilst over there but dont agree he will not run the trip out of a Derby he carried nothing on Saturday and was peaking on his run at the furlong pole

    Wouldn't the Gr1 Rosehill Guineas over 2000m in a fortnight be the logical next start for him?
    It would look far better on a sires CV than a WA Derby.

    Despite the horses great ability on the track and his lovely looks on type, his pedigree is very woeful. In saying that I think it is a good move by Parnham to bring him back and skittle a weak Derby field then save him for the spring. I would love to see Nifty land a group 1 over east! deserves it!
