finally dropped steve smith, and not a minute to soon. Hoping for a miricle tonight but cant see it happening would be great to see punter turn back the clock one more time
  • D Hussey in for S Smith

Aussies batting first - every chance

    41 degree heat
  • poor shot by Watson - India spinners tactics worked

lets see if Ponting still has it

thank god he is still in the team, theres a reason he is the best we have had in years. Dav hussey couldnt have done any more either. Now all we need is tait and lee to fire up and we are half a show

"Form is temporary, class is permanent".

    Brilliant knock by the Punter.

I agree Rhino, Lee to continue his brilliant form and Tait to not bowl so much s***, we are half a chance here on a slow pitch.

My fearless prediction, M Clarke to come on and bowl his darts, 3/14. We'll win by 20 runs....

Feel for Englands Michael Yardy gone home with depression.

    Terrible thing.
  • well played Punter

were always gonna need one of the bowlers to take a bag against the class of India

16 wides and 2 no balls is terrible

For various reasons I haven't been a fan of the Cricket team for a while now and as a result haven't had the same interest in the game as in previous times....I don't think I'm on my own
  • Im sure you are not on your own in losing interest or being frustrated following the game

    but

to openly support Australia getting beat is taking it to another level

we could lose the next 25 games with the same team and I would still barrack for them

shows a lack of something in my books

Had a couple of Poms in my office yesterday, and even they were still in awe of my signed "Whitewash Ashes 2006/07" framed thingy.
Were even taking photos of it ! :)

It only shows a lack of interest in the Australian Cricket team akin to for example your lack of interest in the Australian Soccer team.
  • yes but I dont barrack for them to lose - would never do that to my own country
  • slipatiptomeslipatiptome    3,351 posts
It isn't a case of barracking for them to lose just a case of not minding the result.

What about on the punting front Della have you ever bet against them?

    Horse Shed
  • If Murali plays I reckon we can safely load up on SRI LANKA tonight

no chance kiwi's get lucky 2 games in a row
  • Loving this commentary

Can you believe it, New Zealand have reached the semis for the sixth time. This is the team that prepared for this Word Cup by failing to make the final of a tri-series in Sri Lanka, being humiliated 4-0 by Bangladesh and then being hammered 5-0 in India. Oh, and they then lost a one-day series 3-2 at home to Pakistan. And yet here they are. Will Sri Lanka be underestimating them? Not a chance. The Sri Lankans will have been preparing to face South Africa in this game, and though New Zealand are, on paper, weaker opponents, their performance to get this far means they'll be treated with as much caution as any other team might have. Sri Lanka appear to have all bases covered, but their lower middle order hasn't quite fired in this tournament and that's the weakness New Zealand, who revel in the underdog tag, will be hoping to expose.
