Darrah.
Gday champ.
Just heard you on the radio with Glen.
Nice interview mate.
Although there was a rather funny moment when you couldnt find your notes.
You were shuffling around looking for your notes, and i have it on very good authority, that the reason you couldnt find your notes was because there was too many of those 'coloured' notes, aka $50 and $100 notes blocking your view of the A4 notes!!
Little birdie told me that you had the 'weatherman' hit ya with a few hot tips yesterday??!!
Hence the overflow of spondula!!
The weatherman was hoping you may mention him in the interview but alas you only mentioned 3 Gero illuminaries.
And Darrah, whenever you talk Geraldton Cups there are a couple of 'must' mentions.
My grandparents horse in 1970...Tribal Warrior.
And of course ....Elvis Rules.
Great to hear Uncle Kims horses in the legendary Royal Hand and Racaralma crack good mentions.
Clive is definately the 'doyen' and Bart Cummings of Geraldton.
And i reckon you were on the money with the oldest jock in Australia , a huge chance to win another cup.
Great work Darrah.
Wirrell will be wonderful when winning with the Whittler and the 'weatherman'.  :D :D

Who IS the oldest jock riding at TAB meetings?

Rusty you don't know how that makes me feel.

I has some terrible news just before I went to air but I got there I think. (I'll PM you)

It make it all worth while, you know the Gero connection, I love the touch of the big boy I admire those ppl so much & your Dad when I go to the races.

    8 good races on Sunday.
Bondy will hopefully get the chocolates with Bali Cruiser.
Kaoru Sue is a very good horse and will be winning.
El Yong is in deadly form.
    Aptodeti in the sprint.
Rich Success, Xaarphonic and Test The Angels in the Cup, look the goods.
    Thats my early thoughts.
Weatherman will have more on Sunday for us no doubt.
Thats if he survives the Perth trip!
Watch out for a scrawny little bloke with a bald head, and a tattoo of a lawnmower on the back of his neck, at Ascot tomorrow.

You've been reading my mail Rusty.

Cup meetings always throw up some surprises, mainly because the horses are starting to get tired after a long season...... Beware the fresh horses.
Kaoru Sue should be going to town, so should win this.
Bali Cruiser should go well with the freshen up.
Goodluck to all with horses in, and goodluck to the Club on their big day.
  • Amberlyn looks to have timed her run to perfection

should be a good race tho - no doubt Danny boy will be pumping away with 200m to go and looking the winner

Agree that Zuboyne is a very good chance but I Don't Recall looks the goods for a cup win here.

For my humble (and bias opinion)
First 4 - Xaarphonic, Rich Success, Haste, I Dont Recall. Not necessarily in that order.
Depends on how the "southeners" travel, settle in etc.
I'll just mention that RS form would probably look a little better if he had been racing in 68+ / 60-72 races in Perth rather than 80+.

The weatherman is back in Gero after a great day at Ascot.
Reckons he has a haematoma of the eyeball, caused mainly by looking at Alana Sansom.
He reckons in the calender stakes, she would have to get at least 3 months!!
He flew back to Gero and told Macca about the bloke that fell asleep in the grass near the turn before last meeting.
    Humourous!!
Anyways the weather report for Geraldton Cup 2011 is as follows....
"An absolutely glorious day on the crayfish coast.
No ruffles on the frangipani that has beauitful flowers leaking a heavenly perfume.
You could roll a rolly in any direction as the wind factor at present is nought!
Warmish and will get warmer, and guarantee there will be a few pickled units come evening time.
Good news for Perth horses is that they will get there chance today.
Will be a superb days racing.
ps Coldy....The weatherman said to say you have a couple of outstanding bets there but you will also have a little confetti."
    :D :D :D
All in all looking forward to today.
Races and Eagles, both on Fox....too good

Everyone have a ripper day and may your money get multiplied!!

Elusive Sally was set to run 4th and shied away from something in rather extreme fashion unseating T. Brown. It was bloody dangerous. I hope connections retire her after that.
  • cabmastercabmaster    9 posts
Lots of excitement at Gero today, falls all over the place. Hope all involved are ok. Poor T. Brown, he's not having a good day.
Xaarphonic in the Cup for me.
  • RodentRodent    7,472 posts
I've jagged the quartet for 50%. I outlayed $180 so should be a nice profit there.
