actually think one of the gelding might win it
Following a track inspection by Stewards, Jockeys and Race Club Officials earlier today (19/4) the York track has been passed safe for the above race meeting to proceed.
Please note all programmed 1300m races will now be run over 1200m to avoid a problem section of the track in the 1300m chute.
R2 COUNTESS PANETTI
R4 RADICAL CRITIQUE
R5 ZEEBROOK
R6 SHADESOFTIME (Each way at odds)
R8 ROCKY'S BROTHER (If it get's a start could provide the knockout punch).
HARVEY Paul 2.60
KNUCKEY Peter 3.20
TURNER Troy 4.20
ODONNELL Simon 7.50
LANE Damian 21.00
PARNHAM Steven 21.00
GRANTHAM Michael 41.00
ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL JOCKEY 11.00
Not many genuine chances here. Harvey (unusally) has 6 rides, but he seems a bit out of sorts lately, so I am leaning towards Knuckey today. Best of the rest Damian Lane - $21 looks overs.
my prices
Name Rides Price
TTurner 8 $2.4
PKnuckey 7 $4.2
SO'Donnell 7 $7.5
PHarvey 6 $9.5
Any Other na $13
DLane 6 $71
SParnham 4 $101
MGrantham (3.0) 4 $121
PS - goodluck to Simon O'Donnell :P
Electric Skeleton isnt much good IMO but wont get much weaker race - still wont be backing it
PS - Paul Harvey $2.90 on PLAYER for those who are game enough
Last year it was like concrete on some days but this year, at least at ascot, they've been using watering a lot more to bring the track back to a decent surface for racing.
Hopefully Northam follows the same path and uses water to take the sting out of the track.
certainly doesnt encourage anyone to be betting
not a bad price for your best.
Sweet Achiever has a lot of promise I reckon - has returned a lot more professional racehorse than when it did a stack wrong on debut
Todays place div a long time coming for Wes
had the 2nd horse going for a stack - loomed up like the winner - Darren started to call it and then stopped
O'Donnell - 7 (2 roughies left)
Turner - 6 (2 e/w chances)
Harvey - 4 (2 chances)
Knuckey - 4 (1 chance)
Im on Turner and quietly confident he should get atleast 1 more point - hopefully he can 2 more and get there as I had a decent bet today
I wonder what price CAROONED would be if Pike or Harvey were on it??
