Gaff gets a game for WC, good. Interesting that Swift has been dropped given Kerr out injured. Named as emergency though, perhaps a late change...

Swift will fly as emergency. Like Masten, Ebert etc he is an inside midfielder having to play on a HFF which doesn't suit.

Koby will probably play a full game and rotate on the ball in Kerr's absence, Gaff the super sub again.

Am interested to see how Koby goes in a full game, am predicting a rising star nomination, has had a good year in the WAFL.

I know one of the will probably be sub but I'd like to see Stevens and Gaff both start. If one of them struggles you can still sub them out, barring an injury of course.

With no Kosi I'm wondering if we even need to take in the 3 tall defenders?

The good thing about Schofield and why they rate him highly despite his occasional brain fade is his versatility which allows him to play on talls and smalls. So I would say that Glass and Emac are the two genuine key defenders and schofield is the third tall who can play small if req'd.

Freo <24.5 points at $5.25 is worth a spec. A few more ins so finally a bit of competition for spots. Jude Bolton missing for Sydney also helps

Im a Schofield fan and I'm coming around on Mackenzie, but I dunno if you need em both this week. They have Lynch who is a kid, Gamble is basically their key forward other than Riewoldt and is 184cm, Waters or Smith can take him. To me you get more value playing someone like McGinnity or dare I say it Swift for extra legs in the second half.

    Emac to Voldt,
Glass to stand Lynch and double team Voldt when deep,
    Schofield to Gilbert,
    Smith on Milne.

Mcginnity has been very good this year and is unlucky to make way for Waters.

Two footy bets for me this weekend

    Bet 1: West Coast -16.5 @ $3.15

    Bet 2: West Coast +5.5, Melbourne -26.5, Freo +24.5, Geelong -41.5 @ $13.03

Glad I left Collingwood out of my accumulator line bet - having trouble breaking away from the blues at present.

Didn't see the game, from the stats assume someone actually played on Embley this week. Amusing

That was the worst we have played all year. Got smashed in the centre clearances. I feel sorry for the team who has to play us next week...

Dockers great win looking forward to next week should be great game. Fyfe in sensational form and Ballantyne provides spark.

Might lose mcpharlin with that elbow he dished out could be a big loss ! Gaff was awesome yesterday but too many passengers, getting spanked in the clearances didn't help !!

Funky, I can't see your mob getting up this week, much better chance against the Blues and Hawks at home I reckon. Tough ask against the Swans at SCG even though I recall they have dropped a few there this year.

re: the price I think everyone keeps thinking we are going to trip up at some point, but while we have most of our list available I don't see that happening just yet. Perhaps we will get tired later in the year, but not right after the bye.

Hmm....i'm guessing your tips didn't go too well this week.

Gee if Norths can hang on against the Dogs, that's another good result for Freo.
Saints, Freo & Dogs (then Bombers) best chances for the last 2 spots not secured in the 8.
Freo need to win next week to keep alive their chances of 6th spot and a home final. Then again playing Sydney in Sydney won't worry them
