UPDATE: BETTING: Chris Hughton is the 2/1 favourite for the West Ham job with Malky Mackay 4/1
Reading have spoilt the possible all welsh playoff and face Swansea in the Championship play-off final after beating Cardiff 3-0. The playoff final is dubbed the richest football match in the world because of the monetary prize at stake for entrance to the Premier League.
Reading last played top division 2007. Swansea last played highest level in 1983.

The club threw a party for players at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Monday evening to mark the end of their season. However, the event descended into chaos with players clashing with supporters at the hotel.
The trouble reportedly started when striker Demba Ba refused to sign an autograph for a fan, saying he was ?too tired?.
His comments are said to have sparked a brawl, with Sky Sports News claiming a number of players became involved in clashes with a group of fans, with tables at the ?275-a-head dinner being turned over and furniture smashed.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan police confirmed an incident occurred at the Grosvenor last night.
?We were called at 9.15pm to reports of a disturbance at the Grosvenor House Hotel in Park Lane,' he said.
?Officers attended. There were no offences alleged and no arrests.?
The youngster was hanging around outside City's Carrington training ground and asked the maverick striker for his autograph, but Balotelli was more interested in why the little scamp was wagging school.
After the child told him he was being bullied, Balotelli immediately drove the boy and his mother to the school in question to give the bully a ticking off.
The Italian international then demanded to see the headmaster to make him aware of the issue, and even mediated as the two boys were sat down to resolve their differences.
A source is quoted by one paper as saying: 'Mario feels strongly about bullying and thinks it's out of order.
'He had no qualms about sorting the mess out as he felt the lad should not be missing out on school.'
The City star upon being asked why he had a large sum of cash on the passengers seat (later reported to be 37,000 pounds), replied.............and this is gold : "because I can"
Unbelievable idiot more like.........
Essex...............what more do you need to say !
Looks like Wolves have just clawed out on goal diff
Interesting to see which club(s) Ian Holloway and Charlie Adam commence with next.
Not sure about Birmingham but Blackpool will be a shell of the team that played this season.
Hope we don't have to wait too long to see them return to top division.
I am hoping and praying that my mob Reading win at Wembley (I think next Monday?), and can get back in the big time. They reckon it's the biggest football match money wise - promotion is worth 90 million pounds to the winner....
Not much pressure :D
Anyway since when have we judged them on their amount of brain cells :)

Had no idea they've been relegated, and when told they have been asked "is that bad?"
Also gave her fav Hammers player as Jose Mourinho
"One player who will not be leaving is Mario Balotelli, and the Italian has attempted to explain why he missed City's official parading of the FA Cup on Monday. "I didn't understand the value of it," Balotelli told reporters when he was asked why he had flown to Italy rather than take his place on the open-top bus.
Balotelli was instead at an end-of-season function in Milan for Serie A's club directors, attending with his agent, Mino Raiola. Television footage shows Balotelli and his friends throwing water balloons at waiting news crews before being stopped for an interview in which he was asked about his man-of-the-match award in the FA Cup final. "At least I've done something right this season," he replied."
Mario Balotelli to leave Manchester City
MAN CITY ace MARIO BALOTELLI will have to curb his late-night adventures - his parents are moving in with him.
The Italian striker is leaving his Manchester city centre penthouse for a plush pad in the sticks.
And his parents FRANCO and SILVIA will be staying to help him settle in and hopefully save him some cash by cooking a few hot dinners.
Mario has racked up a huge collection of parking tickets by leaving his Maserati outside his favourite restaurant, San Carlo - even though it's walking distance from his flat.
A source said: "Mario has had enough of the penthouse and wants to live somewhere bigger out of the city.
There you go Tivers... he is leaving.... the City Centre
:)
"I just wanted to see what was going on"
Reckon he will revert to playing the one striker up front.
:D
(or a Welshman at least)
Liverpool are weighing up a move to bring Craig Bellamy back to Anfield, but only if Manchester City are willing to let him go on a free transfer.
Bellamy, 32, is under consideration by Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish as a back-up to his ?58m strikeforce of Luiz Suarez and Andy Carroll.
The Welshman has been told he has no future under manager Roberto Mancini.
