can i bring me mum in 50cents each?

seriously I'd be in it if we got 10 of us.
But...I'd opt for a tried horse from the east.
I'd get someone like josh rodder to keep an eye out...no rush...

Just said $1 a month as this forum has millions of members. Pretty sure we can slash the costs per person if they all joined in.

I also find that jocks tend to be more honest about a horses prospects than a trainer. Two that I have found to be very honest are Carbery and SOD.

i cant think of many of the snowden horses that go onto do much after they are sold. Could be a few in HK that have done something but i wouldnt know. A lot are plodding around in provincials up in QLD.

Why would they sell a good one?

they have to cull every year around sept....when the new season foals hit the ground.
if they didn't cull they'd finish up with horses coming out of their u-no-wot.

what pi$$ed us off is that it was scoped and passed by a vet but was a bleeder. nice people... :x

Scoping wouldn't reveal a bleeder unless it was very recent. You would need to have a BAL (Lung wash) to reveal a bleed and its intensity.

Should have gone back to them Falcon. It was either non-disclosure/misrepresentation, or if they didn't know they may give you another one as compensation. Not like the sheik is short of horses or $'s

In my experience Darley/Woodlands is the best place to buy a tried horse from ES. Falcon just got unlucky (does happen :D )

this discussion is a so great so different to the norm nice to see what other people think and there opinions we purchased a horse from over east not a lot of money but our hard earned cash and had a vet check by a reputable vet i think it was equivalent to a export vet check if thats what you call it. no manners wuldnt train by itself had to have a mate with it a real dud next time i do it i will go over and see it myself once burnt twice shy anyway like i said its real refreshing to see a discussion like this great midday reading when all the work has been done and the arvo work hasnt started.

Maybe PTT could get a syndicate going where the end cost to each person equates to $1 a month.

Count me in, even up to 50 a month, would be great to have even just a small part in a horse!
