    Running the race at anytime other than the second last, is out of the question. The crowd needs to be maximised for spend, no point telling them to go home early after she has run.

    Master Harry 40s into 30s, a little spec should he end up getting here.

    Agree the 6/4 Barakea is insane at this point, with no committment given.
    Two minutes before jump time however, possibly a lot less so... :wink:

    Would nearly be in the field now if you go through who isnt coming and who isnt starting ive got him about 15/16th i took 6s yesterday but he might not run so was a risk Jimmy still worried about his rating if he was to win ??? What about the 300+k if he was to win isnt racing about winning $$$
    JT also mentioned about Avante going up in points as she won the Reeves on cup day but she won 100k and is now a gr-3 winner as a mare thats brilliant so thats all crap as her[Avantes] rating means nothing as her value at stud just went through the roof .
    Racing is about the now same as Luckygrey but he needed to win yes he did cop some points but they were required to get him in the Railway im tipping if Luckygrey wins the Railway the owners wont give a toss about ratings when there celebrating and there are 650k better of .
    When you have a superstar like Barakey i agree you need to look after them but you dont get a gr-1 in your own backyard to often geldings are still geldings good for nothing if they break down .

    I think he is a superstar in the making. But he is only rated 87 as of this morning. Ortensia I think is around 115 after her win on Saturday, so that would put Barakey above 100 if he were to beat her in a Gr 1. Weight would then be a real issue for him. Most likely pick up double Saturday win points just for running second.

    I won't be disappointed if he does go for a break. Next year when he comes back he will be bigger and better again. Then he can tackle the best in Melbourne.

    great call on jimmys part.
    if he won the w/b he'd go up a few kilos for those rich group sprints in melbourne.
    he is a master at placing his horses and more importantly, he has patience.

    Agree its fallen away big time ,Wall St and Albert the Fat are no shows so the Railway weights increase now and as Barakey is staying home i reckon Waratahs and Grand Nirvana will go to the winterbottom
