Thought I'd start a thread for when the matches start. Looking at the betting Ryan Harris most wickets for Aus in the series $3.70 looks great value, clearly our best bowler at the moment and I think he's as good as anyone in world cricket when fit.

Super Mtch goes god over there, and Harris is injury prone

If it were 3 tests I would agree but Harris should be right for 2.

I wonder if Hughes will make a 50?
Agregate over the 2 tests that is :P

Keep bagging Hughes, he's coming off a century in his last test match and has a great record in South Africa. I'm tipping him to have a great series and $6.20 for most runs is not a bad bet.

A century against an attack in which Sangakara took the 2nd new ball....
Different story over there against Steyn, Morkel & co. Will be like a lamb to the slaughter

Would be great to see our local boy Cummins make his debut--he's pretty quick

Punter will be the one who gets found out if we bat first.

Rain forecast for Day 1. Good toss to win and bowl.
Copeland has to play, he could get a bag full if the conditions are humid. Likewise Steyn would be virtually unplayable.....
  • talk about a green top - anything over 150 will be good

I'll have $10 on that.......Copped a serious delivery last night, don't think he or Watson culd be blamed for their dismissals. Will find it much easier in the second dig.

Aus not in the worst position atm though, if they can have a defecit of under 100 on the first innings they are in a strong position, ball should still do enough tonight for this to happen too.

This bloke could make the straightest of deliveries look like it jagged a mile the way he bats.

Never been a big pup fan but that was outstanding last night. His best ton imo.

its soo good to see a test where conditions dont suit the batsmen, makes for riviting cricket to watch. Just wish shaun marsh would stay fit, he looks in genuinly good nick and really belongs at this level

Haddin should not play test cricket again.

And bowling attacks around the world must be pinching themselves that they get to bowl to Hughes while Katich cant get a game.

Just saw a replay of the wickets. Haddin's shot given the circumstances was a disgrace!
The kind of shot you may consider playing chasing quick runs when 350 in front and looking to declare
  • Hussey let them down badly - gee they really rely on him to win
