given the first part of the race was so slow - you would expect it to run home a bit quicker than previously
the race was a farce but like others said there just wasnt any pace to be expected so no surprise
I still say the stewards should get an independent person with expert race analysis to advise them like Victoria do
stewards have to much to do as it is but then again RWWA is broke so an extra staff member aint gonna happen anytime soon
what stewards should do, IS NOT, dictate to riders how fast they go in front.
what they should do, but won't, because they themselves have NO understanding of it, is haul in the idiots that are perfectly happy sitting back last when they are walking.
but i digress, there is a lot of things sub standard in australian racing generally, and specifically wa.
apparently wa is a fantastic place , so they can all be perfectly happy being stuck in the mediocrity that pervades racing over there.
I agree 100% with your 2nd sentence
Ra ra ra, whinging, whining, pissing and moaning about everything and blaming everybody.
Your arguments based around slow tempo for the first 800m of a 1400m race in Perth is a moot point, I suggest you look at the sectional times in race 4 at Flemington last Saturday. It was a 1400m $150,000 listed race on one of the biggest days on Australia's racing calendar, showcased to millions of viewers.
51.3 sec for the first 800m and guess who rode in the race, Newitt, Beadman, Nikolic, King, Nolan, McEvoy, Dunn, Avdulla..... need I add more??
Ridiculous tempo happens on all tracks, by all riders from the best down.
If you're not good enough to assess tempo then bad luck to you.
Again, your point is moot.
Piss or get off the pot as the saying goes....
