i've just had a long chat with josh rodder.
somehow it got around to PR charging $35 for an $8 bottle of extremely mediocre Yellowglen fizz.
when he picked himself off the floor and said "pharquing hell" he told me that over the caulfield carnival they sold 3 party pies for 99c and a glass of bubbley for 99c also.
He thinks their crownies are $6.50 and other non premium beers under $5.
and...you can buy more than 3 drinks at a time.
I'll be with at least 4 on Sat...that will be interesting.. :x

I wouldn't complain too much about PR prices.
By the way, same plastic bottle Yellowglen was also $35 at Flemington....
i know, i pay the prices in a swish bar..no probs,
but that vomitorium at ascot...fair dinkum...
i know its irrelevant but the roey in broome has 5 buck coronas all day every day.
at ascot we are not at cocos or even the george..its daylight and full of lil ozzie battlers like u and me,
i bet they are paying bar staff the absolute minimum hourly rate..
don't get me on that "mullet: he serves at niks... :x
are u going on sat or has rachel put on the brakes??
BC..get a life old son...
Ps - are you the official spokesman for Alcoholics Australia?
Toyota Coronas are now $6 all day every day.......... but the better news is that the Wet T Shirt CompeTITion is back on. The fun police that are liquor licencing got beaten.........YAY!
The Zeebar also sell the Toyotas at $6 all day every day, and if you are a member of their loyalty program you get a 10% rebate on all purchases put to your loyalty card......... so in essence the flashest pub in Broome, one of the most expensive towns to live in in the state, sell Toyota Coronas for $5.40............. The more you drink, the more you save. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
Thought I would give the emoticons a work out seeing as they have basically been unemployed since Rustyh went into hibernation.
My good mate Stewart has been stuck there for 6 months.....beginning to look like his never gonna come back....and his gonna be saving a $hit load .Now that's good financial planning

works flat out Geoff....might take a break and head down 8)
I regard this as a 'positive' coming from a negative. For those worried about my mental state
might have to leave the camera at the gate tho
If your not selling the pics ,,why aren't you allowed on course to take as many as you like??
According to Harvey Crossman who came to see me on behalf of the Committee of Perth Racing, apparently Scott Hollands claims I have a commercial impact on his business. This because many Owners, Trainers, Jockeys, Stable Staff etc, now follow my efforts in supporting this Industry on my facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Damien-Wyer-Racing-Bloodstock/109650695766611?v=wall
Scott Hollands has an exclusive agreement with Perth Racing on the intellectual photographic rights for race meetings they conduct. Now when I asked when the contract was coming up for tender or renewal, they didn't know when that may be.
The thing is, as I have discussed with Matt Rigby on several occasions, I don't really have an interest in his type of photography. Taking finish line photos and leading horses back in doesn't cater to much more than 10% of what happens at the races. So from a photographic content perspective, I am not and have never have intended, to compete for the same type of product that Scott Hollands Photographics sell and publish.
But to be asked to leave based on the type of camera I carry is ridiculous when over 100 cameras are on course every week in the form of DSLR's, compacts, i-phones etc
Anyway, I regard the attitude of Perth Racing to this matter as their loss. My photography is sought after by several media outlets in both print and internet. When visiting other race courses around the World, they have listened in disbelief when I told them of the conditions under which I operate.
I am forever grateful to the support shown to me by the participants and those employed within the Industry. To them I say thank you.
but if u get a bit more bang for your buck ya leave happy
and more chance returning &recomending to freinds imo
