Travinator has the class

Four year old Mosayter gelding, Travinator, steps into the 74+ Corestaff Handicap (1000m) on Saturday after trouncing subsequent midweek winner Geiger Rio, at their last meeting.

Owned by prominent forum member Colin Pearce, Travinator steps up appreciably in class this week but should handle the rise with ease and has been installed at the unbackable odds of $1.35.

His main opposition look to be The Entourage, a 90 rater and Noname City, rated 88. They will have to give the speedy Travinator substantial weight advantage and look to be hard pressed to hold out the up and comer.

Travinator showed he retruned in outstanding fashion, leading and beating Geiger Rio by three lengths in a time substantially quicker than Excelorada, whom also won on the same day.

The gelding looks to be one of Daniel Pearce's stable stars, alongside three year old Keeper Quiet.

    on face value, I thought Travinator would win by more, but then looking at the times, it was very impressive.
    Ran a sub 33 sectional after leading......makes it impossible for the backmarkers to win if you can do that.

    What price will you get him at this weekend? Taken the allowance to bring him down to 56, if the jockey does his job is a moral...$1.50?

    If they let it run though a first section of 24 and a tick again course will be winning amazing to think u could get away with that the first 400m of a 1000m SPRINT.
    I put sprint in bold for a reason hint hint lol.

    Player offering $1.70. I certainly won't flinch taking that price. The only other thing in single digits is Right time which he easily has covered.

    i remember some horse won 8 straight, came out 1000m with 53.5kg started 1.50 and got rolled, ran 6 of 10, and yes there may have been some excuse if you read the Stewards Report. Even though something looks a certainty, it is not 100% bullet proof.

    a few years ago, one called 'dante's volonte' went to go 8 from 8 in a prep.
    came down to 54.5kg for its 8th run that prep @ $1.50 and failed, never came back to that form..

    It was 1.30 and i think there was more to that story

    A big pity because that was the horse that really got me interested in WA racing

    Easiest money I have ever made, since the last time it ran, and then the two before then...

    My brothers name is Travis so it is fair to say we have been hitting this horse pretty hard from its debut!

    the way he destroyed them from the start of this race reminded me of a young Werd...straight to the front,put the pace on ..sensational to watch.

    Although this guy does it on the straight as well....Big fan, much more impressive than Barakey IMO, but good to have two horses winning well..

    Crazy to not have a crack at the Winterbottom. Getting crucified in the ratings for winning is a nice problem to have. A lot can happen between now and next year's Winterbottom

    500k Winterbottom in your own backyard is simply to hard to say no to Wilson isnt it ?
    Bloody good problem to have this bloke is a superstar and on what i have seen would eat Barakey no point hiding good horses playing that silly game of beating the handicapper win as much $$$$ why you can i say

    12 months a lifetime, dungy? try 12 seconds...a leg tangled in a fence, a snake bite, an unforseen illness, in fact any sort of incident could be career threatening.
    a fresh horse, a 500k race, go for it wilson, you have been around long enough to know the foilbles of racing.

    hope they head to the winterbottom...but i will still stick with Barakey...all you lot can just hop off,just means I will get a better price...at 1200m barakey has been there and 1.08.85sec is motoring. Travinator was very impressive tho..

    advice to you lot...Jump aboard the Travinator Train

    he is obviously very good, but apart from him, yesterday, the rest of them crossed the line in a bunch, and that's a sure sign of a crapola field.
