He's ridden for us a few times, including a few wins, He's a nice guy, but he has to remember ""\every action has a reaction".
He is still young, so he still has time to learn from this.

he is not that young pie man..late 20's would be my guess.
if the comment that he is good mates with "that footballer" is a recipe for disaster.

I thought it'd be late 20's..certainly old enough and had enough experience to know right from wrong

I don't know anything about thoroughbreds, in hindsight just get a stiff and ride the next sucker away. I gave up smoking the bruce in 1990, was on double time towards the end. I have never used a strap-on in my life that wasn't prescribed by a Doctor, and in respect to them I try and stay away from them as much as I can. It doesn't mean I am wanting to play rich businessmen into property or this industry and probably won't change life expectancy, but at least I have made a conscious decision to make an effort. Whatever decisions I have made are of course mine. I shouldn't expect anyone to applaud nor condemn.

The life of a Jockey is tough though. Personally I prefer to spend wealthy businessmens capital on misconcieved judgments what I like without a thought as to how it impacts on my working career. But Jockeys don't have that luxury. Sometimes when life gets hard, quick and easy solutions seem like a good idea at the time, but that's only because it seems like a good idea. In reality it is a little bit silly and I think whatever Clint may have done, he would now regret.

Personal comments by you good folk, would simply be doing nothing to assist him this morning. So please bare that in mind when making comment.

    That is golden

:-B Clevermother being clever , i thought i'd just read something similar a page ago! <):)

to turn up 5+days a week some 5-10 kg under there natural weight get it right day in day out "can ya be 3 back the fence from 19 @the gate" ect .thou i hate wat drugs do to society these people r under plenty pressure day in day out and if they
hav a weakness it is sometimes comes to the fore when things get tuff! i think education/counserling is the best we can do.

    MEDIA RELEASE

    Thoroughbred – Jockey Clint Harvey

RWWA Stewards today commenced an inquiry into the report received from the ChemCentre (Perth) in regard to the presence of a banned substance in the urine sample taken from Jockey Clint Harvey at the Lark Hill Barrier Trials on Monday, 5 November 2012.
This finding had been verified by Racing Analytical Services Limited (Victoria).
Evidence was taken from RWWA Principal Investigator, Mr. P O’Reilly, Mr. James White, Acting Science Business Manager (ChemCentre) and Jockey Mr Clint Harvey.
The Stewards subsequently adjourned the inquiry to a date and time to be fixed to enable Mr C. Harvey to consider the evidence heard and consult with his legal advisors who had forwarded a written submission to the inquiry.
Jockey Harvey remains stood down pursuant to AR81A(3) from riding trackwork, trials and races until the conclusion of the Stewards’ Inquiry.

Agree with Falc here, the bloke makes Nikolic look like Mother Teresa!!! Great rider and always comes across as a decent bloke but seriously how many times can you bring racing into disrepute!! as the stewards like to put it....

Are we forgetting he's involved in illegal activities - drugs?
And hasn't trouble followed him since he was an aprentice?
It seems to me that he places himself above the law or he would have learnt 10 years ago.

We all remember the problems Clinto and 3 other young lads back then late 90s got into without going into it you would think the time he spent away would make you think about what direction you need to take in life but he seems to take the wrong one all the time shame isnt another tale of wasted youth

Welcome aboard amission, yes your comments are in line with what we have discussed on here regularly in relation to young(well not so young anymore) harvey....A lot of us knwo that he tries to right his ways but that he constantly slips back down that slippery dip time after time..

But maybe this is one time to many..or maybe that was even a while ago !!!!! real shame, but he is a reflection of the society we all live in..

    MEDIA RELEASE

    Thoroughbred – Jockey Clint Harvey

The RWWA Stewards inquiry into the report received from the ChemCentre (Perth) in regard to the presence of a banned substance in the urine sample taken from Jockey Clint Harvey at the Lark Hill Barrier Trials on Monday, 5 November 2012, was adjourned on 29 November 2012 to enable Mr Harvey to consider the evidence heard and consult with his legal advisors who had forwarded a written submission to the inquiry.
The inquiry was to resume today, however was adjourned prior to the scheduled start time following the lodgement of a Notice of Appeal to the Racing Penalties Appeal Tribunal (RPAT), today seeking leave to appeal against the determination of the Stewards to not require that the remaining portion of the sample held by the laboratories be subjected to further independent testing in relation to the identity of that sample, whether by gender testing, DNA testing or otherwise as requested by Mr Harvey through his counsel.
Accordingly the Stewards have determined that the matter will remain adjourned until the resolution of the application before the RPAT, with a date for the matter to be considered by that body to be determined in due course.
Jockey Harvey remains stood down pursuant to AR81A(3) from riding trackwork, trials and races.

clinto would have to be 30, a year either side my guess

I'd suggest just making sure it was his sample that was tested..it probably should have been confirmed with the testing regime initially..if not then definitely on the second confirmation test, which is what the second test is for..to confirm all results and clarify who's sample it was.

Was a licensed piss taker for many years and you would be surprised over those years how many men were pregnant!!!! only1 actually, but samples do get mixed up at times.

From my experience It is a tactic used to try to discredit the chain of custody..

We will see this plays out. Hope he isn't targetted by some people in the old switch-a-roo. If it was switched I can see a huge compensation payout for him due to loss income.

I think Harvey is desputing that the sample he gave was not his!!!!!

So someone had taken the Pi55.

The only way it wouldn't have been his is if it had shown the source of the urine to be pregnant.
