Who is the best you have ever ridden ?

West Australian Racing
DamienWyerDamienWyer    7,988 posts
What do racing champions Bomber Bill, Takeover Target, So You Think and Black Caviar have in common ? They have all been ridden by WA Jockey Association members. Today at Belmont Trials, Jockeys declared their best ever ride.

A little bit later this evening I will be publishing my latest video, which is currently uploading to Vimeo. More shortly.

I'm going to begin editing my second video of the day with WA Jockeys. In this one they declare the horse to follow in the next six months. Definately get your black books out for this one.

PC I think I asked everyone who was in attendance but some have other engagements etc. Today I got 15 on camera, but I think the best is around 20 or so. My next edition is just about to go live, so watch out for that one.

One question that would be interesting is to know the hardest thing about being a jockey - is it weight control, getting rides etc - could throw up some interesting responses.

I think the best thing would be riding horses or being around horses, but the hardest thing, might be a little more varied.

Enjoyed the video, Damien, but did find some of it hard to hear so I didn't catch some of the horses names.

Thanks Rio. I thought she might be a girl, but at that young age in some new male apprentices, the penny is not the only thing that hasn't dropped
    ;) ;)

Marriage is the equivalent of "blinkers on". Unfortunately, too often followed by "gelded".
