Morning All,

What are the tips for tomorrows card? with alot of these horses hoping for a birth in the upcoming features, winning is paramount for ratings points. 2 lightly raced 4YO's have caught my eye.

Sireeze in race 8 is my tip of the day and will be interestng to see how much it improves after a great first up run a fortnight ago. Meeres probably took him to the lead earlier than he would of liked that day and it seemed the long Belmont straight didnt help.

Lightly raced, it is an on-pace runner with a good steady build up of speed. Dont expect him to flash home from the tail but if he gains a good settling position from gate 5 and is forward throughout the run, they wont catch him.

My 2nd tip of the day is Double Jester in race 5, Its an improving type moving up through the grades well. Watch her storm home from near last. Im hoping the change of pilot doesnt dent her chances.

Good luck to all, cheers Tiger9

welcome on board tiger9...Thought i may have been the only person who found Sireeze..And dont panic, for me to say i'm on it will only lengthen the odds.... ;)

With the storm hitting us hard now for close to three hours, I think today could be the wettest track seen this year and perhaps for several Belmont seasons.

Still thunder, lightning and rain at 7.30 AM local time.

Just looked at the BOM website - 38mm of rain so far. Would the meeting be in danger at all? Mind you I think they are forecasting the rain to clear pretty rapidly.

don't forget that rain in perth can be very localised, maybe belmont was not badly hit...i know mt. lawley was not hit hard..according to the bird bath.

BOM has airport at 38mm (as noted above) but Perth metro at only 4mm

I'm in Bassendean and it has only just eased off since 4.30 AM. I would be very surprised after looking at the radar for the last two hours, if the Belmont track has escaped.

I'm already packed with wellington boots and the full rain suit for both me and the camera, for my afternoon adventure in the carpark and long grass up to the home turn.

I hope the Dockers can warm my heart as I listen in on the radio.

CRIS and RISA all still say good3 but I'm not sure of the accuracy?

Be very surprised if I don;t get a healthy amount of mud and dirt flying in my photo's today. With this amount of rain it would have to be Dead 4 at best.

Better barrier, less weight and a sweet ride.
Moët Me was 5 lengths closer on the turn this start compared to his previous run.
  • Yes but his sectionals don't say he was a better run his sectionals should be better thenxthe winner home at his last start since he was beaten 5 lengths that was not case and what a 1kg turn around that's nothing.Thats why top weight was in and mr moet was 8 to 1 just one of those he got away with. The only thing I can think of is top weight has gone back a bit  from last rating.
