I thought the chat on Tee A Bee was good, he admitted
*it is unacceptable and that it was unacceptable after the first event 7 weeks ago.
*stated that the two groups are working together, even though it may not appear that way
*there is protocol in place to avoid this happening and it wasn't followed
*compensation for the trainers for yesterday - owners just have to wear it.
*RWWA have the capital to invest in short term and long term solutions.
* will look at supporting PR to achieve a better spread of track usage.
So to me it sounded like there was an understanding between RWWA and PR of what was meant to happen and it didn't happen..But now there will be processes put in place to ensure that it does happen.
But the one thing i found most important was that he said that the times of finger pointing and not taking resposnibility for outcomes was over a long time ago!?!?!?!?!?! Not long after that he said that the curator and the jockeys had different opinions on what is a sound track....mm sounded a bit like finger pointing to me..
=)) =))
Apart from that, it sounded like he was nearly as pissed off with the situation as me, and a few others on here.

one of many contradictions within his attempt to appease a massive amount of negative publicity.
I feel he did say a lot of the right stuff, but you accurately highlight that he didn't state anything that couldn't have happened in the past.. I'm just really hopeful that they make serious changes now..and also that PR follow suit. If anyone there didn't follow protocol or process they should be moved on..The impact this time is massive, as it was so close to the last two times..
They are saving that to build a gym, for all the people who are going to live on the track... =))
How i would love to be talking about relocating to Cardup/Byford to a purpose built track with all the modern infrastructure instead of redeveloping Belmont...argh, but we cant go back.
Two tracks, close to the CBD and run by the one club is proving not to be a benefit for Racing in WA
Out of interest, what number is the lost revenue from the missed meetings this last week (and the ones upcoming that will be missed)?
Does anyone undertake any sort of risk analysis down there? The mind boggles.

However, I am prepared to give them the benefit of a very grave doubt that they might actually finally do something about this ludicrous situation and the astounding lack of professionalism.
Just once though I would like to see them do something constructive and act with foresight for a change, why does every situation and problem that arises in the three codes have to become a crisis before it is finally belatedly addressed and taken seriously.

The obvious question wasn't asked in the interview...if the track was unfit on Sunday, and then it rains for three days leading up to Wednesday (as forecast), what contingencies are in place to ensure the postponed meeting from Sunday isn't then postponed again on Wednesday?
Wouldn't they have just been better off shifting Sunday's meeting to Northam on Wednesday?
