    No disrespect to the man. But I think Worsfold, Hird and Voss have shown this year that no matter who you were or are in the football world you will and should be held accountable for your actions and to expect anything less would be a disservice to the club and the game. As Nisbett said he is the most important person in the Eagles history full stop and it will take some effort to surpass that title.

    Why no press conferance ??

    Very strange if a player/coach resigns theynormally  do a PC but no sign of Woosh .

    The player review im told states that a lot of the playing group were asked about the game plan and several players said they didnt no what it was 

     

    Did he resign ?????

     

    I suspect not but suppose it doesnt matter credit and respect were due the bloke has been a club legend and i wish him all the best

    Worsfold, who was pictured this morning in his West Coast tracksuit,
    added intrigue by not attending a hastily convened afternoon press
    conference to confirm his departure.

    It is understood that he was picking his children up from school.

    ( has his misses ran off and left him with the kids ? )

    Has his Mrs left him ?Probably none of our business really.  Is Rob Wiley still assistant at Carlton ?? he might throw his hat ring never no he was and X WCE player and assistant

    i detest threads like this but to put it straight he was seeing chrissy morrissey.

    a lot of marriages go thru a bit of an upheaval, especially when your job is under 24/7 scrutiny.

    just heard eagles about to announce new coach....sumich favourite.

    can't they get away from the "old boys" mentality...AND it will cost them a squillion for elocution lessons!!

    Fingers crossed. I would take Sumich in front of Woosha, but I would also take Dungy (or a pet rock) in front of Woosha...

    Imagine if it did come down to Dungy and a pet rock.

    Dungy walks into the interview room with his English interpreter, completes a 2 hour presentation (which probably should have taken 5 minutes) and is asked to wait in the foyer...

    They bring in the pet rock, 2 minutes goes by but nothing has been said, a committee member then walks out of the room and tells Dungy they have decided to go with the rock...

    Three weeks ago a 'smart' punter approached one of the corporates to place a sizeable bet on Simpson @$15..Seems he has been the Eagles choice for a while. Simpson has been the standout graduate of the AFL coaching courses and coupled with the fact some senior players have put forward pretty strong concerns to the board about Sumich being the coach, I would be very surprised if Simpson wasn't announced.

    from wot i was told clarkson was high on that list to provided they didnt win the gf. they were never able to approach him.

    doesnt afl guidelines say you can only win max $500 on betting on afl coaches markets.

    that was my understanding and would have thought they would take that seriously as its a afl rule not a bookies rule.
