No ownership in Cut Snake but a couple of friends own it. Was raised on the farm. Apparently they have already received big offers from Asia

The Cut Snake races Wednesday in Race 3. The owners think he is a shoe in for the WA Derby. Just wins today and goes for a spell. Hope they are right. They seem ultra confident!

I herd that the owners will be putting on free drinks if she wins. Snakebites or something!

Not like Lindsay to wrap them up has he got it nomad for dubai :))

It's not uncommon for a Lindsay Smith runner to start extremely short odds, usually unders. I speculate as to why.....
Anyway, if they're so bullish over Cut Snake, one has to wonder why it paid >$10 in winning its maiden. It was quite impressive that day and certainly warranted starting much shorter.

I would like to own him. I was away and missed the race. The winner is apparently well above average. This is a 3 yo gelding with the brain of a weanling. He was named Cut Snake for a reason. For a first prep to have 2 wins and a 2nd from 3 starts is bloody good IMO. I wish the owners and all those connected with this exciting horse all the best.

Agree more with your earlier statements Theo.  Owners clearly got way ahead of themselves and deserved what they got.  Country form no true indication and back in there box.  Vital Edition look sthe goods and may be a real chance for the Derby.

The horse only beat Antoccino the start before Wednesday and that horse is allergic to winning.

:-? Why would you not leave him in the paddock to eat grass, get fat and mature. Has been said best years are between 4 & 6 :-??

good point, legless. all you need is a bit of patience.

i am in a 4yo, only had 6 starts in 2 preps for 1 win. nothing wrong with him, we are just being patient.

coming back into work next week for hopefully easy pickings towards the end of jan.

Nothing wrong Falcon..only joking about you waiting for the horse to pay his way, in the same manner you were in relation to me sitting under a tree at Pinnie waiting for my horse to run a nice 6th
