Well doesnt this look like a cracker of a race .
will FRK start Marasco ??
If so who will ride him with PH susp ,would have thought Willie would stick with Special Reserve if offered ???
Special Reserve looks mighty hard to beat -IMO-
Also Artic Park 1st up ,Charlie[overated] Beau ,West River Charley 1st up he goes real good and trialled up nice at LH the other day .
There is already a few for Saturday jumping of the page at me punters .
Vizard
Keytomoney
Cohort
Vain Raider
Innarticulate [thought he was going to the paddock ??]
Looks a real high class day of winter racing.

When did Electric General lob here ???
  • Dungy if u owned snip esprit and had to decide, do you opt for the race carrying 55.5 with inarticulate drawn 13 with 57.5 or do u opt for the other mile race carrying 58.5 against Cohort???
  • General has been here for weeks and is flying

would wanna be PB..if marasco runs (i doubt it myself)EG would be pressed to beat him, albeit well in at the weights.

Pike or if he sticks ringo will ride yeh?

hash ...snip esprit should saddle up against cohort, will carry 56.5 after kennedys claim(does he still get 2 off?)

Hashy -IMO i would stay the fxxk away from Inarticulate and take Cohort on anyday ,i dont care what Innarticulate has to carry and were he is drawn i reckon he is a high quality racehorse and Cohort is an easy option -IMO

It would be a tough call. Snip Espirt hasn't hit its peak and Inarticulate is still progressing. Got to say I'm impressed with how A Durrant places his horses.

I think Snip has the speed to go with Inarticulate but I would be taking on Cohort, who was very impressive at his latest run. In a slowly run race, he was still able to pick up and win easily.

Hopefully the noms hold up as there are many interesting match ups.

Marasco won`t run Harvey knew this this is why he rode on SAT,IF he was starting he would of done the time for his crime on time  8)

Regardless of when PH started his suppension he would not have been available to ride this weekend.

Having said that I also cannot see M running this week

well until i got hold of the wednesday paper confirming pike has been booked to ride i would have agreed tony, now it looks like he will run :o

The Big M is in with the master up W Pike .
So who rides Special Reserve i reckon she could be the one to stretch him .

Ice i think your wrong ,PH started his Susp in the view of being back for the Roma Cup on 30th May to ride Marasco i dont thin k him riding on Saturday had anything to do with it i would have thought Marasco is going around only because he has drawn well and FRK needs to keep ticking him over until the Roma Cup in which its likely PH will be outed for that ride as well because he got found guilty of Careless riding in the last on Saturday .

It is my belief that the Paul Harvey enquiry regarding the last event on Saturday has been adjourned until Friday. I therefore assume that he has not been found guilty.

great oppotunity for Chloe Chatfield on W.R.Charley in this race. I know the owners are big fans of hers...and i think she might just pull this race off :)

    Correct Darrah
  • he has been CHARGED so he has been found guilty, now he is fighting the charge by wanting to call other riders to question them, so in fact he has been found guilty

    That is rubbish PB.
    Charging is not convicting

    Here here. That is absurd.

Anyway I will have a penny or two on Field Commander. Loves it fresh.

    Should be a good race.

Won't touch this race much.Saturday supposed to be fine.----Though my guess would be West River Charley.---Can't fix onto the great liking for Marasco.
  • lordwaterlordwater    1,127 posts
Fields at Belmont ( SATURDAY 17TH ) are smaller now but most races seem to have good horses in them.---Should be an interesting meeting.

In the Sprint I am only going to take ----West River Charley----Marasco---Local Legend-----------As an ( ALLWAYS TRIFECTA ).----I would not dare to try to pick the WINNER.

I don't think Marasco can win giving 7kg to so many good horses, but in all honesty I hope he pants's them.

Marasco is a great horse and won more than a MILLION DOLLARS----I saw but am not sure he has been against the best.---Maybe I am not reading right---but that is my opinion----Think couple of horses Saturday will try him and would like to see him win. There can be no doubt about his trainer being one of best trainers ever-----and hope he has recovered after injury he got. cheers.

Old Tarzi proved a world beater last time in.

This is rich but I wouldn't leave him out completely.
  • lordwaterlordwater    1,127 posts
I could not find a horse called Old Tarzi.----I assume it would be a Nickname for Marasco.
