  great to see them win a double, they back plenty, nice to see them finally get a quid. Pay plenty for them from Messara. I've never seen a stable that changes gear so much

  Blackfriars has that rare ability to upgrade even the most unimpressive mare, Metal Storm was another one. Doesn't mean they can all run but if you're a believer in X-Factor breeding and fillies in particulat inheriting huge ability then her pedigree is a perfect example. The fantastic Danehill/Sadlers Wells cross was also to the fore here as it was in the Epsom Oaks & Qld Derby
