I have just received an email from PR saying the proposed return on the 5th sept. has been put back to sat.17th oct.
there is refurbishment going on....a new look members area on level 2. Wow!!!

had been planned since they got the money...quickly do up level one - to accommodate the fashion parade - then spend similar dollars on members floor..Glad they have still done it..2-3mil is nothing to spend...and that's not far off what you get for it too!!

just read it....YOUR PHARKING joking, we lose 6 Saturday meetings an 6 midweeks meetings that as members we cant go to the races cos we have to use that pigsty called Belmont...just got our renewal in and we pay 10-30% more and as a reward we get to spend more time in that PHARKING piece of **** Belmont!!!!!!

Someones going to get a nice phone call tomorrow...... ~X(

Yep - but this year they had demolition work at belmont booked for early september

Hey Tivers between you me and the gate post after last year i wont renew anyway...had enough, but last year we paid 645 for a membership, this year we pay 495...sounds a good deal?????

Well last year i got all race and trial vision + a race book.....what did they used to charge for vision only???? $150??? add to that a race-book a week $250............so we remove that $400 from last years $645 membership and this year it should be $245....

Instead they charge $495 and make us spend more time in Belmont!!!!!!!! Obviously a deliberate act to drive members out of the club IMO

Yep has been mid/latish October the last couple of years at least - open with The Northerly and The Belgravia usually

I think the millions they have wasted thus far is enough, dont spend another cent and dont demolish. Leave it all to the new buyer. Its gonna be sold!

i think its pretty much the same week we return to Ascot every year, so nothing changes.
Not sure whey they said they were going back early in the first place.

to start the Belmont reno's from memory..i mean grandstand demo.

They are a shambles, stumbling from one unachievable announcement to the other....why not announce the delay of the demolition and no charge vision at the same time????

495...just the same as standard membership has been for a while.. They used to have a Silver membership for 645, where you got race vision and free race book...But that is no longer being offered, so it presumable means that vision will be free to all as of August 2............................been too busy to call them today to find out WHY..

think Mrs. RIO can pay this year and I'll get dragged along occasionally, make a twat of myself in the members bar as a guest, and see if I can get her banned... =))

Every year from my memory, the return to Ascot has been on Caulfield Cup Day, this year it falls on the 17/October, seems to be the same pattern to me.
