Word around RWWA offices is David Hunter has been offered a senior executive role at Perth Racing.

Does PR really need another executive?

Sounds like the professor is getting his mates around!

If this rumour is true, it does little for the stability of our industry.

if he takes it he is stark raving mad. what role?? you can bet your life its a poisoned chalice, some poor bugger has been shafted.

the place is top heavy with pseudo "executives", the old trick throw a few titles around and keep the underlings happy...been going on for years.

John Yovich (sorry if misspelled) is the former RWWA Executive who took over the top role at Perth Racing.

He was appointed shortly after RWWA gave a multi million dollar cash injection to PR, if memory serves me correctly.

i have no idea of the person, and he may well be a fabulous bloke, for all i know

    and ......

i have absolutely no idea about anything as far as perth racing is concerned.

    but......

it would be fabulous for racing in wa if the person of interest had no influence, whatsoever, on programming, handicapping, or similar policies.
he is in hopelessly over his head there....IMO.

so i guess it would be a good thing if he was not there, and he may also be perfectly suited at pr for all i know.

i just know he has absolutely none about handicapping, and neither does the bloke that followed him

and after all that twaddle!!.......i don't really care these days what happens as regards racing, it's none of my business.
    surely, it's on borrowed time.

the guy had absolutely no idea about handicapping so let us hope he is more knowledgeable in this new position...whatever it is.

I would be very confident that Mr Hunter will not be going to Perth Racing. In fact I'd be very confident to suggest that No-one from RWWA would be jumping ship to Perth Racing. Yovich only did it after he had finished at RWWA...The only other one to do it in recent times was Big Wes, and where is he now???

don't forget that professor yovich has a very lucrative job to fall back on if the %hit hits the fan...

Money talks... I'm assuming that's why Yovich got on that train in the first place.

IMO after all the years he's been there, hopefully quickly. Which applies to several that are incumbent there..

Does a club that small even need a board anymore?? Why isn't it just ran by an Executive Manager with a members board reporting to them?? That way the EM could work closely with RWWA in the best interest of City Racing in WA. After over 10 years of running at a loss, the current system has proven it obviously doesn't work!!! ;-)
