Please post all your thoughts and prognosications for this meeting within here.

Maybe even some tips (one per race) and if we are lucky Darrah may do a tallyboard for us= to see who the best tipster was.

    Will put tips in tomorrow night. As for the main race . I can see Anna's Choice storming home. Was a huge run 1st after such a long break. Has a bit of class on her side & i think she needs 1200 meters now ,although stats at distance are not to great.

    Initially i will pass judgement on the feature race,my average(likely)tips to follow later.

    Cannot see ken's double being beaten myself..Idyllic Prince has to concede too much weight and whilst IP is going considerably better post black type success he has to contend with the same issues beat the storm has encountered in the past season.Always will be one with a big weight pull who will knock him off in these handicap type features,possibly 2 on sat. with him running third imo.

    My other better bet for the program e/way is henry the pharoah...

    Anyone think Verossi is a risk 1)at 2200 to start with and 2)moreso given he is jumping from 1600 ?

    Yes agree re - Verossi esp since it will be carrying 58kg.


    Normally I am a huge fan of races being named after ex-winners of the big races such as they are this Saturday with past winners of the Ruabon and maybe Im being pedantic here but it seems wrong that the queen of sprints in Miss Andretti is tagged with a 2200m race - thoughts??

    Didn't finish out of the placings in his first real campaign and should be a good EW bet again.

    There must be a query on his fitness but he only had a month let up and had a solid 6 months of work last time in. Other query is the 1200m as he has had a tendency to lay in during the final stages.

    Winning will depend on the timing of his run and dangers will be Comic Hero and Glenmore.

    bloody terrific horse,always puts in..i wondered re a couple of the runs at belmont whether he didnt like the wet ground that much? but maybe it was the laying in you mentioned...

    His record on slow tracks is actually pretty good, only problem is he ran into Never the Twain (DamSire - Kenvain) two times and the third time beat him only to lose to Dark Target by a nose.

    First time he lost to the Twain the course was downgraded to Slow after his race so is really 3 starts on slow for 3 seconds.

    He also lost a couple of races up on the pace when he prefers to chase.

    He is a lovely looking horse and hopefully will break his run of seconds on Saturday.

    3-Verossi ???? upto 2200m quickly could be a problem
    4-Glenmore [scr from midweeks for this to speedy ]
    5-Kens Double [couldnt have been more impressive last start]
    6-Diamond Hwy [loves 1000m drawn well ]
    7-Mr Dalton/Rev Lovejoy ????
    8-Gilded Venom wins easy and Quinella/exacta Carbineer great run last start.

    Should be able to organise that. FYI due to conjecture abt scratchings I will sub from the toppie down. As for the comp proper, "management" can verify the sub situation.
