A good field for tomorrow night's Lord Mayors Cup at GP with many of the Pacing Cup field backing up again including the outstanding winner Vultan Tin and 3rd & 4th placed Bond stable runners Mighty Conqueror and Galactic Star.
I wonder if the newly elected Lord Mayor will be present on course to hand over the Cup to the winning connections firsthand?

    Margin will be a nose if he fronts. Basil would go to the opening of a cupboard.

    Well if he is their to present the cup - it will be the biggest joke since Sir John Kerr as Governor General - presented the Melb Cup to the great Bart Cummings - when Bart won with i think Gold and Back 

    So it just goes to show - alot of times ( its not how much talent youve got ) but who you actually know - and big nose ( who makes so many mistakes - re calling the AFL - mixing up the wrong players )  was a 2nds ruckman at West Perth when Commetti was their - and that has to be the reason why big nose got that plum job calling 

    Interesting that - another West Perth failed 2nds ruckman - Neil Brooks ( who was a champion swimmer ) when i was in Sydney - he use to call the Swans games - and he was about as good a caller  as Basil

    Basil won't turn up elephants like Kerr did.

    Argyle Red drawn the pole...does Morgan hold up on him? Lot of the chances drawn out except Mighty Conqueror.

    Well, I happen to like Basil - he is a very funny man (last day on 6PR this morning,now!).

    He is not afraid to give his opinion, to knock his football and commentating is just tall poppy rubbish.

    He's having a go in life and will make his mark.

    Basil is definetly going to present the Cup tonight.

    One For Dave Andme was an omen bet tonight and was well supported.

    Dam Another One For Me won the Lord Mayors Cup in 2012.

    Surely Justasec should have HU next to its name in the results. I’m not sure how it even squeezed it’s legs into that gap in the first place, brave little bugger.
