Narrogin race 3 on Saturday 18-12-21.
Can anyone find one that as a steward you'd be unhappy with how hard the jockey was trying and it warranted a please explain? I was quite disheartened to see it go through to the keeper.

yes, i thought it was the one in the pink and blue colours...fools, an 8yo gelding with only 2 minor wins in 50 starts.

Thought it was obvious which horse. Maybe she urged it when the pole blocked the camera  :))

@Rodent. Can you have a look at Mt Barker today, Race 3. And give me your thoughts the 4th horse over the line. I have had a good each way bet for me on it. First starter Kendal's Storm.

I think Castle should get time.

Yes stopped riding it before the line. Despite TAB claim it drifted from 6 to 10s  The horse looked as though it was still in learning mode.

Agree very green. but I thought he eased up very early. Also looked like winner ducked in with 40 to go. But after 50m the post it still looked 3 horses of the fence. but definitely should have run third IMO

Ginger Green ran in and Castle eased by the look of it. Would need to see head on but it looks like you were just really unlucky @jum

Stewards did ask a question. What are we having for or evening meal?

I have never seen in my life so many "rider reminded of their obligations of Rule ???"
or "Junior Rider referred back to Riding master"

Suspend them and they will learn quicker

    Spot on PB.
    How about Ben Kennedy...
    1. gets suspended 2nd Jan.

    2. Gets suspended again 8th Jan, whilst fulfilling his booked rides. Gets a pizz-weak 12 days, reduced to 8 days because the stewards made 4 days of it concurrent. Unbelievable.

    3. Last race in Albany 9th January (YES the VERY NEXT DAY), gets a warning for causing reasonably serious interference to Brad Rawiller. What the hell!!! A warning, after a massive week of not giving a single duck about the rules or fellow riders.

Stewards being made to look very weak here.
I'm sure if he got a decent whack for suspension #2 he might have been a bit more considerate on #3, but there's no serious penalty so why would he care.

I saw a tweet from Jay Rooney that says "Jockey Ben Kennedy's career hangs in the balance after he was stood down from riding pending a Racing and Wagering WA stewards' enquiry"

Some guys just can't be helped.
The support this guy got from a vast number of people, trainers in particular has now been chucked back in their face.
