Tim Stubberfield was a very very good rider.
I seem to recall he reignited his career after a lean period by travelling &riding extremely well in Kalgoorlie during a season or two up there. During the 90's ? Dominated the stats.
    Vale Tim

My late father when he had horses had a lot to do with Tim. I had a bit to do with him in the nightclub days. Liked the bloke. As a youngster I had a massive day at Beverley when he landed multiple winners.

Tim had an extremely brief training stint as a tutor to Parnham I believe.

He was a bit younger than me. What was the cause of his passing if you don't mind me asking?

From the little I knew of him, to say hello mostly, he was a lovely man. My life has been surrounded in sorrow of late from people I hardly knew to those who gave me life. I hope Tim's family can take comfort from the outpouring of grief from the Industry and Tim's many friends.

I hope he is remembered with a race in coming days.

No doubt Timmy excelled at Riding the Kalgoorlie track The race round of 98 was his alone it was 10 or 20k ? for leading rider and the trainer received a new car .which the late Dennis Ramsay won They won seven races over the three days Paddy me Lad (3) PowerBall (2) Queen of Burgundy (2).

96 carnival he rode Corporate James to Coolgardie Cup & Boulder Cup wins then was associated with Bold Extreme to win Railway Stakes along with two group 3s & listed race in a four win streak
